  • According to this page: construct.net/en/tutorials/how-to-use-loader-layouts-to-make-custom-loading-screens-9 making loader layouts is pointless when making mobile games. It suggests to create a custom splashscreen (like the Construct 3 splash) instead. How do I do that?

    the content is same but I dont know if that Construt 2 still relevant to Construct 3 about loader layout in mobile export

    I just hope somebody could share something that really show how to make this splash screen work for mobile (construct 3 export)

  • One of the benefits listed under personal licenses is "Custom splash screens", but in loader style I only see the option of choosing Construct 3 splash..

  • why not somebody from Construct official team just post a working .C3P in editor start page as example that show how it work ?

    I also face the same problem.. as a newcomer in Construct.. I just cannot figure it out how to make it work since the first day I use construct.. what should I put in the event sheet ?

  • .. it wont work if you have a platform behaviour on the ball...

    I think mixing Platformer behavior and Physics behavior in 1 object is difficult

    I just hope who from official Construct/Scirra will post some more advance example in Editor start page and some interesting template "player mechanic" like sliding snowball/ice skating in curved surface, instead of just show the basic use of platformer/car/physics/8direction behavior

    This is basically from editor templates "Physics catapult"

    I try to make a dotted line / the aiming arrow..

    So far I only think about using Tiledbackground to trick the empty space/alpha channel when repreating images (between each dot)

    and I use another helper sprite, because I cannot add image point to tiledbackground for sprite arrow head positioned along aiming (is in touch).. but the arrow head still rotate/move to incorrect position.

    Any better way to do this ?

  • I see.. I was gonna make the custom sprite for you :D if I know the font name and the size..

    Looks like you already fix the problem..

    yeaah the sprite font generator is handy but in certain condition not generated well

    many times I end up make the sprite font myself in vector editing tool export to png and load it to Construct

  • what is the exact font size you like ? and my I know what is the font name that you intent to use?

    edit : I mean the box width x height (in pixel) for 1 character

  • Maybe just simply use the pixeled font ? Choose any size of the font still dont make the pixel feel blur

    install the font and then you can choose that font in sprite font generator window

  • If i say for example stick is moving up, Player looks up, and if the stick looks right, then Player looks right. Then it works, but the Player jumps from up to right without any smooth animation, like the 8 Direction Movement. Is there a way for a smooth rotation?

    What is your Player behavior ? Platformer/8 Direction/Car/... ?

    If it is only about copying an object angle to another..

    I think it can simply "ObjectX set Angle to ObjectY.Angle degrees" ?
