  • The Job offers and team requests are not moderated.

People using a different engine making job offers is ok, as long as it is clearly indicated in their post, as it is in this one.

For the beta testing of a game it doesn't matter the engine it was made with to be fair.

Kyatric I take this chance to ask you, wouldn't it be better to subdivide this forum topic in Jobs (paid) and Team Request/Collaboration (unpaid and revenue share)?

  • peerthy.s costs might depends on many factors as for example complexity, time restriction, skill required (only coding? or others like art and audio?)

You'd better specify as many info as possible otherwise you might get a roughly hourly rate but it might not be matching the real complexity of the project.

Also adding more details you avoid unnecessary mail exchange.

For example you want a multiplayer game but some people don't want/can't develop it or you want a game for Android and iOS and the developer isn't interested on working on them, etc.

  • Hi, I am available to help you and I have just sent a friendship request on Discord if you want to have a quick chat about what you need.

  • Don't you think the layout needs improvement?

Hi teriastiles, thank you for taking time to check my website :)

Ss it applies to video games, there is always space for improvement. The thing is that at one point we have to let it go and move on something else and that's why I said 'finish'. I am aware that lots can be done, but at the moment I prefer to focus on video game development rather than have an amazing website.

My goal was to have a basic website where to keep all together the various links that every time I have to provide once someone asks me what I have done. I provide Scirra's website link, itch.io, Game Jolt, YouTube, Patreon and so on, definitely less professional than the current website since each one of the above mentioned website have more than one thing to see and some are duplicated among platforms.

Said that, I am happy to listen to any suggestion, I am writing them down and will apply the most suitable ones to next website update, that will not happen anytime soon :P

What would you suggest to improve? Can you be a bit more specific? What do you like and what you don't like? So I have a better clear idea about the meaning of layout improvement.

I know there are some little bugs depending on the browser used, but I hope that the browsers with issue will get some update so I can avoid to become crazy adjusting the website for everyone :D

Thank you again for your help and let me know your suggestions :-)

  • Hi GameMonks,

I have tried all your links, but no one of them works...

    Can you double check them?

    Thank you

  • Thank you dop2000

It seems I might have solved the issue. Basically when loading the file I was disabling the Save group to avoid it to save automatically. When I wrote the code time ago I might have assumed that reloading the layout after coming back from another, that would reset the group enable/disable settings.

    Thanks for the help!

  • [ SOLVED ]

I have an issue with (I suspect) the save state.

The game saves the state at the changing of every layout. All works fine, I can load and save the game multiple times without any problem.

If the game window (or tab) is closed and then open again, I have the option to load the game in the main menu. Loading the game everything works fine, but when I change the layout to the one that supposed to bring me to the Save/Load functions, it loads the layout but it stops, basically it should trig the 'On start of layout', but nothing happens.

The associated event sheet has a 'On start of layout' without additional conditions and it doesn't trig. I checked even with logs, but nothing happen. The debug shows 0% activities on the active Event Sheets and Layout, variables seems all good, but the game doesn't progress. Am I missing something silly simple?

I repeat, I can go through that layout multiple times with no issue starting a new game. The problem occurs after restarting the app, loading the game, playing the level and only after moving to that layout. The issue occurs both with HTML 5 export and NW.js

    Any idea?

    Thank you.
