Hey everybody,

my name is Robin and I?m a young game-loving designer from Germany. Today I want to introduce my first real Construct2 project to you, which is called Beavarena.

Short summary:

WHY?

it?s a typical situation, happens everyday, happens everywhere.... You and , a mate, a colleague or even your girlfriend/boyfriend are on a train, in school, in a bar, or at home and don?t know what to do to spare some time. A pretty annoying situation. Even if I everybody has an iPad or tablet PC, there are to less games that are for 2 (or even more people) on one pad, which are funny and diverting. Here is the answer to all your problems. Beavarena, a collection of 2-player-minigames for tablet-pcs (and some for phones either :-) )

WHAT?

Beavarena, in his basic version, should be a collection of about 5-10 mini games from all categories, that can be played on one iPad /Tablet by 2 people. The aim is to be short, entertaining and diversified. It should be ideal to play a round while school breaks or while you are waiting for the subway etc. In the future I want to make Beavarena to something like a portal-website especially for multiplayer tablet games. In far, far future ;-)

WHO AM I?

My name is Robin and I?m a graphic dude, who loves games and animation. I work in an agency, so I?m pretty fit in illustrator, flash and photoshop. In my free time, I did a little fun beaver-project called beaverlicious (www.beaverlicious.com) Just little animations, drawings and other stuff.

I?m not that kind of genius in programming, but I already made a little game in construct, which you can find here:

I also programmed a bunch of tools for work-presentations and even for some costumers.

My friends say I?m a nice guy! :-D

WHAT DO I DO?

I will make the graphics and assets, using the Beaver-CI, will animate walk cycles, actions, smoke etc. if necessary. I can also do my best to program the games, even I guess this needs a more advantage brain in some cases to run fluent. :)

I will also host a website, which is fully responsive and also corporate to the "Beavarena-Guidelines".

YOUR JOB?

First of all, I can?t pay you directly, but I plan to try to sell the game collection and host advertising on the "Beavarena portal", to gain money. If it really gets serious we can defly talk about provision etc. :) I guess I?m a fair trade partner. :)

Sooo I?m looking for people who love games, new technologies like tablets, trashy beavers and working in a super nice team with good atmosphere :) it would be super cool, if you are already experienced in making tablet/mobile games with construct, to help me make it run fluent, export for many devices, as stable as possible etc etc.

Don?t get me wrong this is a fun project in the first case.

All theses are guidelines, which can be discussed, critized etc. I?m not a team dictator. (most of the time :-D )

My native language is german, but I guess my english is .....okay :-D so that we can do Skype conversations, Facebook etc.

Is it possible to make 2-WASD-controlls work properly together?

I have a little question, about the different versions of construct and how to handle them properly.

I�m a german (perhaps that�s important for law-questions??), who likes art in every way imaginable.

Now I want to create an application like NikeID, where you can personalize a product, that will be produced and delivered to you.

My question is, can I use the personal license for that?

I already own it and the turnover isn�t created by the program/tool I�ll program itself but by the physical product I produce.

BTW: I plan to cross this magic border of 5000 bugs pretty soon. If i need the business version, is it uprgradeable from the personal one?

I love construct and i?m getting into it more and more. Now here is what i plan to do with it...

I want to found a little start up, that should be based on a construct2

program. The customer should be able to choose from some options and combine them within the app. (like NIKEid if you know it)

The program should then render a picture of that and send it with the order-form to me, so that I can produce the product as individual as the customer wants it.

Here are my questions:

-How secure would that be? (are there Bots who buy?, Credit-card-number security etc.)

-Can I embed an email-verification?

-Can I embed the process to a content-management-shop-system?

-Can I make a mobile shopping app, or are there any difficulties?

-Can I embed paypal or something like that?

-Are there any other things I need to know?

I don?t know if construct is the right engine for what i plan to do, but I would really like to try it out, cause I?m getting comfortable in it and it?s easier to update if you don?t outsource the programming. If you know better options for me, pls let me know :)

If things will get reals serious, I guess I will throw out some paid jobs as well :)

The red button in the left corner randomizes the beaver and if you take a snapshot it opens in a new window. Just right click to save it :)

I�m using wordpress to design my homepage.

Now I want to publish a C2 HTML5 Game to my site.

I upload it via FTP and try to use this embed-iframe-code. Everytime i do that, I�m just getting the start (index) page of my website in the iframe, but not the game, even if the path to the index is right!

Can anyone help me?
