  • Hey people,

This kind of "How do i..." situation. I (like most of you i bet) have tons of ideas about a new game. This is my problem at all. I have to decide on one of them and stick to it until finish.

Creating a relatively HUGE game is always tempting for us but we all know that if someone don't have enough experience on things like work process, designing, engine, mechanics etc. it will be just a nightmare at the end.

So i want to finish something nice but more simple before starting a big project.

I made those tutorial games so i can develope a platformer with couple of levels.

I bet i can make a running game also with help of some researches on several stuffs.

When i think about my abilities, designing visuals gives me advantage. So kind of 'Spot the difference' or 'Hidden Object Game' looks a bit easier than a multilevel platformer for a moment. But as i don't have any experience and any tutorials about them of course :), i am not sure about it at all.

I gave myself Sunday as deadline and i will loose courage if i could not finish something (big or not) but joyful.

I know it depends on person and nothing will be same for others but principals are mostly same for all. According to your experiences, what kind of path will be good start for me or what kind of suggestions can you give to me?

  • Hmm guys, when i click the link i see a mini golf game :/ No rpg, no greyscale first level. :Something wrong with me?

  • I give that fairy her wand and pass to another level. But somewhere on top left i stuck. There is a big mushroom and no where to go, even back because i could not jump that much. Most probaply it is the unfinished level three. Generally it is fun to play.

    You should keep going.

  • i like that stuff, make people dizzy. but i don't like your advice about drug usage on this forum. as you know it is illegal in many countries and this forum is not a place for that kind of substances as children have access to forum.

  • Try Construct 3

  • funny gameplay, i like it. well done.

  • smooth play. it's annoying we die with 1 bullet but they can resist much more of them.

  • ...I dont know what must be done to make the main characters stand out in the scene without hurting the beauty in the bgs..

You may try to change some colour, brightness and contrast values. Try to make them lighter then the player. Also you can use some blur effect on them.

  • I will give it a try when i finish 'the game', hope it works fine thank you!

  • I absolutely like the idea. Designs of those object can be improved but still looks nice like this.

When i start to play i afraid of loosing the ball if it goes out edges of screen than realized its bouncing back. You may think to show edges of the game. Not necessary of course but it may improve gameplay.

I like those kind of original ideas. Keep working mate i am following.

  • Nice graphics and simple but nice one scene gameplay. I like it so far. And i guess you start a new trend my friend http://impactjs.com/forums/games/gods-will-be-watching-ludum-dare-26-entry

Congratulations, hope to see new games. May be a long lasting adventure :)

  • Hey guys i was wondering if there are any official games made by Scirra team itself?

Or think that you will make a presentation of Construct 2 to investors tomorrow, which games will be shown as "examples made with using C2" if they ask 5 or 10 games?

I believe there are more users curious about it.

  • Nice try, i am searching about those spot the difference games, so it will be nice example for me.

I will not complain about simplicity because it's just a sample.

    Thanks a lot.
