  • My 2 cents.

I think that the notion that hTML5, cloud computing etc are a panacea is not necessarily the case. However, the way Construct2 can use numerous exports is a great idea, but I would personally have hoped for the exe to be the standard, and HTML5 as an option.

I look forward to seeing how this all turns out. Good start, guys

  • If I change the go to Layout condition to "World 1-1" it crashes. But If I then toggle the 'Restart Layout' condition '+ Fade: Opacity Greater or equal 100' so that it ignores the fade condition, then it restarts immediately without the death animation.

It must be a logic thing. I'l keep looking.

  • You'll never be able to play Crysis 2 with that card

  • What's your setup, Noga?

I always build my own rigs, but my current is getting on a bit - Crosshair mobo, AMD X2 6000+, 1GB GeForce 9800GT, but I never have a prob running any game, and Construct never slows down for me.

  • 500 fps but I did shrink the daft layout size - 1280 should'nt be a default IMO. Only uses 5MB VRAM.

    Good visual effect.

  • If the new 2.0 continues with the intuitive, fluidic programming style that the current one has - and which in my opinion makes it far superior than many current commercial systems - then not only would I happily move to 2.0, but would be more than willing to pay.

Just a thought, but when Edgar Vigdal remade Deluxe Galaga for the PC - Warblade - I was more than happy to pre-buy before the finished project, because I knew it would be worth it. Maybe you could go the same way?

As I say, just a thought / suggestion.

  • Try Construct 3

  • .cap works OK for me.

  • Pretty cool. I copied the group 20 times and it didn't slow down at all. Could be useful - I'm thinking shrink down and use in candle-lit walkways etc!

    Many thanks

  • Do the examples that come with the plugin work?

  • I'd buy the book if it had a small chapter on re-creating the effects of the Large Hadron Collider. Might 'just' be worth buying then!

  • Maybe this should have been put out in April. People think it's for real :/

  • Just an update to Irbis' point:

Torque is now back up and running and have a special offer on at the moment. See http://www.garagegames.com/community/blogs/view/20775

BTW, I am not affiliated with them whatsoever!

  • Anything that can stop the march of the spam bots is a good thing.

The only negative to this upgrade at the moment is that the breadcrumbs seem to have been changed. They usually showed the hieriachical path, so you could click back anywhere you need - parent, board root etc - whereby now it just shows the parent.

Small point, I know, but I like my breadcrumbs

  • Yep, same here. I thought I did have the latest version... oopsie

Anyway the .cap runs fine now. And it looks awesome so far

Ditto on both points. This could potentially be extremely useful.

    Brill work, as usual sglorz
