  • We don't have set dates I'm afraid for releases!

  • Don't forget, 10mb is measured only including one set of sound files. So if your game is 2mb + 10mb sounds = 12mb, it would only count as around ~7mb as it wouldn't count both formats of audio file.

  • I don't understand why removing unfinished from the top games would improve the quality, if people vote higher for an unfinished game we should be displaying that above a finished game with a lower rating, we'd rather show the better content right?

There's not enough content for us to be picky yet, in the future maybe, but at the moment I think it's a lot better to just show the best stuff.

  • Yes, updating games should work fine. Just click edit at the top when viewing the game

  • I can't login when I use my HTC, so a mobile version will be great!

wilfryed You should be able to login now, can you let me know?

  • I have tried turning the mobile version of the forum on, but it's really ugly and doesn't work very well.

I could write my own/improve the current one, but it would require a lot of work with payout to only a minority of people. I think for now there's more important things I need to be doing, but it's something I will bear in mind for the future.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Strange, they are working OK for me. Can you try clearing your cookies and let me know if the problem persists? The servers reset a couple of times recently this might throw something.

  • Good idea, I think that's possible will look at adding that in

  • Fixed, thanks guys

  • The idea is that when people vote on games the better games will float to the top. Take a look at the top games list or the front page. It has all the top rated games there.

Any WiP's or incomplete games will sink to the bottom of the lists naturally.

It would be hard to regulate finished games. Also for a lot of people new to game development it's nice in my opinion to have a public community they can share their creations with.

  • New changes

A couple of changes which should benefit everyone:

    1. You can add a capx to arcade games now which can be downloaded by everyone

    2. Anyone with >1000 rep will have their submissions to the arcade auto approved

There are 2 ways to add a capx to an arcade game:

    1. Click edit, and attach it from the link there. Doesn't matter what the capx is called.

    2. Add the capx file to the arcade zip file before uploading. Make sure the capx is named game.capx or it will be rejected

The next release of Construct 2 will have an option to add the capx on export.

    Encouraged to use the arcade

A lot of people who answer peoples questions post capx's, it would be beneficial to the community if this was uploaded to the arcade itself with the capx attached, and then linked to.

Of course you don't have to. However if you choose not to we would love to hear why not, we want to make adding examples to the arcade as easy and convenient as possible so all suggestions are welcomed.

Benefits of uploading examples to the arcade

    • You get kudos, rep, badges etc :)
    • It creates a searchable index, if the same question is asked again a simple link to the arcade will suffice
