New messages in forum not signaled

Since last night update of the website, I don't see the yellow arrow that indicates new posts on the forum.

I see it when I happen to post, but else, closing my browser and coming a few hours later, the arrows don't display.

I rely a lot on it, so I'm a bit lost for now, checking by date/hour of the last topic to check if I might have read it or not.

I hoped at first it was only temporary for a few reloads of the website, but apparently the issue is deeper.

By yellow arrow do you mean the yellow star?

The view unread_post.png on the index of the forum, or in the list of topics of a forum.

Strange, they are working OK for me. Can you try clearing your cookies and let me know if the problem persists? The servers reset a couple of times recently this might throw something.

I erased the cookie for scirra.com.

It was indeed containing weird informations/format.

Unfortunately, it hasn't changed the situation so far. Logging out from the site, new posts are still not displayed.

Bah, these forum issues are really tricky to solve. For anyone who has this problem, what would be really handy is if when logged in go to your browsers dev console (f12 in most browsers). Navigate to the Scirra cookie data, the cookie should be labelled `www.scirra.com` and email me tom at scirra dot com with all the cookie data in `www.scirra.com`.

Please DONT send me any other sites cookies!

I've actually made a few changes, could you logout, delete all cookies and log back in again?

Tom I always encounter this really annoying issue.

I tried to logout, to delete cookies, but it still doesn't work. The new topics are signaled only from the moment I'm on the forum.

Besides, It will be really cool if the new topic information is saved directly in the user account and not on the computer regarding I log in sometimes from my job (so unread topics have already been read on my personal computer).

Stepteven, we're going to be changing forums soon back to PHPBB3, it should solve all the issues nicely but is a big job.
