  • I figured out that webview builds not working only on osx, if create build on windows then everything works fine. What can be the reason. Is it possible somehow to re-install webview builder on Mac OS?

  • Currently, I'm preparing my game for EGS and I have to use web view 2 because of the EGS plugin. NW build is working perfectly for me but the WV2 exported game not running because of the error "Failed to load package.json, Check that file in the same folder as the app". I checked - the file is in the same folder but the app is broken. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

  • Hey guys. I'm going to publish my game on EGS. I didn't find any tutorials do you know any video tutorial where somebody shows how to upload the new build? Also, the interesting thing is that constract site does not contain any information about it except the plugin description. I saw the test project but it's not clear to me what should i do to create the working build.

    I would appreciate any information, especially from people who have already published something on EGS. Thanks

  • Steam deck game compatibility is one of the best on the market. It runs more old games than my pc on Win 11. So you definitely should try it also this device will be useful for testing

    About switching to windowed mode and back you will help my hint :

    Do this logic with 0.5-1s timeout only. I don't know why but without timeout it is not working. But i think for Steam deck game should always be in full screen. Disable windowed mode for this platform at all

  • Some clever individuals have figured out which old versions of Greenworks still work on the deck.

    The last version of nw + the last version of Greenlight working perfectly on the Steam deck and Mac. Just use them. Currently, I also preparing my game for release and it works fine.

    I had issues exporting to Mac as well. None of my Mac testers could get the game running.

    I also had such an issue the reason was - a video file. I don't know why but on Linux and Mac the app crashes if it contains video files, maybe you have a similar situation.

  • Hi. I've bought your game today. Looks like it was released on Webview 2. Unfortunately webView not working on Steam Deck. My advice better to build the game on NW for Steam, it is much more stable now, and it will increase your sales. Also please think about achievements. Implementation will take one-day maximum. I haven't played it yet, I usually play on Steam Deck, tomorrow will try to install it on my PC. Also building for Linux and Mac will take two more days, on Steam a huge number of Mac and Linux users. IMHO this should be the most important thing in your roadmap, but it is just my opinion it's up to you.

  • Yeah, last 10% of the project the toughest. I took 1 month break anbout 2 months ago and then continued. I was emotionally empty. After one month of break it is going easier. But anyway I took for myself one extra month to polishing and testing.

    Hey. How is it going? How many copies you could sell during these 2 weeks? I saw you have new positive reviews, is it random people or do you ask somebody to write a review? Just interesting how difficult to promote the game

  • Maybe somebody will be useful to know. Found the reason why my game does not work on Linux. I had a video file as the company logo. When I deleted this file then the game run well

  • I have a problem with the Linux build. I'm trying to run the build on the Steam deck and always see a black screen after app loader initialization. In the debugger, I can't find any information. Attached screenshot below. Please help me:

    PS. Windows webview build works perfectly, the issue actual only for Linux platform or for nwjs library

  • If they have their own method that means that they use some interface for that. I just want to know how can i use this interface. It should be some static method or class because I don't see any reason to do a method like this not static. I would create my own function but I can understand the algorithm, and how it is working at all, it is not RGB and it is not hex, what is the color scale they are using for color? Also in the input field we can clearly see that this is the function that they save as a string, then this string they parse somewhere and call. Interesting how it is working and how developers can use it.
