  • I'm working on an in app store for my game and have set it up so that each item purchased lasts for 3 turns.

    I'm using Global Variables to trigger the item etc, and wanted to save these values so that the user can continue using the purchased item after exiting the game, as long as the item is still active.

    The issue i'm having is when i purchase one of the items (you can only purchase one item at a time) and exit the game, upon loading it back, all of the items are checked (meaning they're all active) rather than just the one i purchased.

    I'm struggling to get this to work as i've tried many different methods. The latest one i've tried is by having 3 seperate local keys for each item but that hasn't worked either.

    I'm using Webstorage to store values, i know it depreciated but it still works fine for me with my other games.

    I've provided a capx and really hope someone can help me out with this.

  • Never mind, i got it working.

    Turns out, there was a space at the beginning of the Ad unit ID, so when i deleted that it started working.

    Can't believe that's all it was, feel a bit silly now

    Thanks for your help, and thanks for making this plugin. I've been waiting for the official Cocoon plugin to implement this, so appriciate your work on this.

  • Ah, that works. So i guess it's something to do with my ad unit. My apologies.

    My banner & Interstitial ads are working just fine, so there isn't an issue with my Admob account.

    Is there anything specific i have to do within the ad unit settings? I created the Rewarded ad unit without really changing much.

    Thanks

  • I purchased your plugin but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Nothing happens when i tried to play the rewarded video.

    This is how i've set it up in Construct 2 -

    Splash Screen Layout

    On Start of Layout - Load a rewarded video

    Menu Layout

    On Button Pressed - Show Rewarded Video

    Is Video Loaded

    On the Cocoon.io Plugins section, i've got Cocoon Admob plugin installed as i'm also using this plugin in Construct 2 for Admob banner ads. Do i need to installed another plugin for the rewarded video? From you instuctions, as i understood it, the Cocoon Admob plugin should be fine.

    Also, i'm using Webview+ instead of Canvas+.

    I've set up Admob rewarded ads on Admob and entered the Video ID. So i don't know why it's not working. Have i made a mistake somewhere? I'd appriciate your help.

    Thanks.

  • I'm looking for a mechanic where that has a object retract in and out, similar to don't touch the spikes game, but inside of a circle instead of a square.

    I'm looking for it to be a random set of objects to appear each time, but they can appear anwhere around the edges of a circle.

    Can anyone help with this mechanic?

    You can use a Dialog plugin in order to create a pop-up box to give the user an option to exit the game when the back button is pressed.

    There's two dialog plugins that i've used, both work well.

    • Cranberry's CordovaDialog plugin, which is what i currently use, but you have to pay to get access to the plugin.
    • CocoonCanvasplus plugin, you can use the dialog feature but it only works if you compile using Cocoon.io & Canvas +, but its free to download.

    There might be other dialog plugins, but these are the ones i've used so i can vouch for them.

    Hope that helps.

    The browser object does work with Webview+, you just have to add a couple of plugins and lines of code to config.xml to get it to work.

    As AndreasR said, you need to add the 'inappbrowser' plugin and you need to add the 'whitelist' plugin as well. Also, you need to add the following code to your config.xml, just copy and paste the lines below.

    [quote:an2ewhn9]<access origin="*"/>

    <allow-intent href="http://*/*"/>

    <allow-intent href="https://*/*"/>

    <allow-intent href="tel:*"/>

    <allow-intent href="sms:*"/>

    <allow-intent href="mailto:*"/>

    <allow-intent href="geo:*"/>

    <platform name="android">

    <allow-intent href="market:*"/>

    <preference name="enabled" value="true"/>

    </platform>

    I had the same issue but this worked for me and haven't had any issues with since.
