    It has been improved a lot with proper triggers and generally better code. A big thanks goes out to Yann !

    There is a condition now to check if the API is loaded, the expressions have been extended and the load API action was removed. The API will be loaded automatically.

    If you used the load API action before, you will likely see it be replaced with a different action when loading the project with the new plugin. Also be aware that the change of previously exisiting conditions into triggers might cause issues.

    Haven't tested this new version thoroughly yet, so let me know if you run into any trouble.

  • The browser object has an expression ExecJS.

  • You can usually create a working API implementation by using the ability to execute javascript of the browser object (there's an action and an expression). Often there's also alteration of the index.html file involved. Of course creating a plugin would always be the slickest solution.

    Do you mind linking to the documentation of the Boostermedia API so I can have a look and give more detailed advice?

    Thanks! I plan to update the plugin on the weekend. You can still use it in its current state if you cannot wait at all. It should already work.

    I don't see any information in the API documentation regarding the inclusion of a splash screen animation. This might be depending on the branding details outlined in your contract.

    Since they provided you with a html file (and script) containing the animation my first idea would probably be to display the logo page in an iframe using Pode's HTML Pack.

    Great! I knew I had to start using proper triggers where appropriate, but to be frank I would have had to yet look into it. My actual coding skills are still... in development :)

    Seems you laid it all out for me here. This is obviously much better and I shall adapt it right away in the next version. So thank you for that!

    One thing I did intentionally was making the GameAPI.loadAPI() an action and not be executed at "onCreate". The idea was to keep full control and load the API at a later point if necessary. But I realize that case might not be very realistic anyway. If you add the plugin you probably want to load the API asap...

    Anyway, thanks for your detailed post! Will help to improve the plugin a lot.

    Is there an api call to check to see if the API has loaded? That way we can check to see if the api loaded before doing the other calls?

    There isn't yet. But I plan to have at least an expression covering this in version 1.0 of the plugin.

    SPIL gave me a GGG.com logo image and wanna implement it to the game using their API. So I wonder I if just only used the Get Logo action of PixelRebirth's plugin or had to do any other steps for showing the clickable logo?

    I think that we could use both of the plugin for a well testing result and placing the logo to the game manually. But I don't sure about it.. :(

    The "Get logo"-action is in place to dynamically get logo data (image url and link). Likely used for having one version of the same game on their various portals (different logos)and in case they change the logo.

    Anyway - if Spil provided the logo just go ahead and add it manually in C2 I guess. I hope I understood your issue correctly. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Wow, I'm actually surprised this software is still around. Tried it years ago and it seemed kind of unreliable and feature-lacking.

    By now it seems matured and a bit like a CC / C2 hybrid to me. Might give it a whirl just for the heck of it.

  • Mayfly Sheepy You do have to deactivate other controls when a clay.io modal is open. There is an expression "ModalIsOpen" in the plugin.

    Im getting "No Hight Score Yet" on the leader board , but when i open the leader bored view from the admin panel i can see scores ?!!

    It appears I'm getting the same issue lately with my game that has previously worked flawless for months with the clay.io leaderboard.

  • As we all now,export via node-webkit makes some dll files which is necessary for it to run,this may look unprofessional for small games.So I want something which can compile all these files to one exe.(Not an installer).Do you know anything like this?

    I can't search for google because I don't know what keyword to search for.

    Is it really a problem if the user is aware of multiple files being present? I mean that's the case for most games.

    There are ways and applications that can do such a thing (google for "package dll in exe" for example), but I believe if the dlls are just packaged the files will have to be extracted again when the game is run.

    The "API loaded" lights up green in the test tool if you include the API from the URL like described in the documentation. Since you can't define remote dependencies the plugin uses a local copy of the API js file.

    Feel free to replace the script reference in the index.html file of the exported project.

    However skyhunter93 submitted successfully even though his project worked with a local script, so it might not be necessary.

    You probably don't want to request an ad right on startup. That would mean the user instantly saw an ad after loading the game.

    I'm also not sure it will work properly if you don't allow for a little time between loading the API and requesting an ad.

    Remember, you load the API only once and you request an ad whenever you want to actually display one. For example when a level ends.

    Could be that the sub-domain redirecting you're doing is causing problems with the test tool. I would definitely try to use a direct URL to compare.

  • Basically you use a variable to define whether the CapturePoint has been scored yet and such...

    But yeah, like others also mentioned you could simply fix it by using For each.

  • As long as a single member of the CapturePoints family has a CaptureTimer value of <= -5 (or >= 5) the condition holds true, therefore it's completely correct how it behaves with trigger once.

    Try setting the CapturePoints sprite inactive or resetting it after scoring, maybe using an additional value.

    Or using For Each might also do the trick.

  • But yeah as far as the Kickstarter goes - it was a private back vote. Majority won. In fact no one said no. The only request was to have an alternate unlockable mode to have the original 8-bit graphics. Which we will have :)

    Played the latest demo and it's definitely a cool new look. Seems like some old obscure arcade game now, hehe. Looking forward to the finished game!
