  • PrinceofMars You used 3rd party plugins so I can't open the files. I did breakdown your capx into folders and took a look. You have a ton of graphics and sounds in your game but they all look fine not too big at all.

What did you need the 3rd party plug-ins for? I'am asking because it seems like you could make this game without them. Sometimes 3rd party plugins break device compatibility.

  • PrinceofMars I am looking over it now. Go ahead and delete the link to your capx file.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

Pretty good idea it will take sometime to implement your features but it will be well worth it. Wish you good luck and if you run into problems just ask and someone will know the answer.

  • Sorry I can't open it because Iam using rr227 and your using rr228. I don't update unless its a stable release because sometimes the beta releases have bugs in them.

  • tunepunk That's great so the core will be multiplayer. There isn't alot of action games for android that are multiplayer so you have an advantage there. Most android multiplayer games are MMO's and RPG's . The last action multiplayer game to come out was unkilled and that was months ago, so there is room in the action multiplayer niche.

  • Got to test it on my device I uploaded a video of the 1st boss fight, video taken from my android device

  • PrinceofMars I played the demo and its fantastic. The only problem I had is the gameover screen got stuck so I needed to use the task manager to exit the game. The sound effects and action are great the game is a bit hard on normal but Iam not used to playing so that might be why it felt tough.

Music and sounds are perfect, pixel art is done well to make it look 3D. As far as running your game on mobile device I would actually have to see some code.

1st what resolution is your game?

2nd What are the size of your images?

As you answer questions I may be able to pin point the problem.

  • Great video I actually played your game on android a while back and still have it on my device. I look forward to your new game keep us posted with developments.

  • tunepunk Is the core gameplay going to be multiplayer or will you have a mission mode plus multiplayer? Yes if this is your 1st project its a big one to start with. You will learn alot though and have a greater chance of success with a fleshed out game rather than casual game.

  • Its very hard unless you get lucky to make money with your android games and apps. The road to building a decent income is long and hard but can be done. Here are some minimum requirements if you don't want to let luck determine what your going to make money off of. It might seem like a lot of work but marketing is really the only way to accomplish earning a decent income off of apps and helps with the luck factor.

    Minimum Marketing Requirements

    1) Post in various app stores that have good traffic. Besides Googleplay there are other stores that have good traffic and promotional deals. Appstores such as Slideme , Samsung and Amazon all have decent traffic .

(Now only Amazon has decent traffic the others not as much )

    2) Post in many different Android forums such as xda-developers,making money with android and androidpitt. Even though this might not get you a ton of downloads most appstores place apps higher on charts that have a good amount of link backs to the app page. This is the missing link in ASO that developers forgot.

    3) Post on social media like facebook ,instagram and twitter. Posting in these places will only get you a few download but its helps with the LUCK factor. Social Media is mainly the way most games and apps go VIRAL.

    4) Art- not a marketing strategy per say but high quality artwork in your games , apps and most importantly your icon will draw in much more users to your app.

    5) Youtube video's - Having a youtube video so users caan see the functionality of your games and apps is a free way of getting more users to your game or app. Also youtube is a gateway to help your game or app go VIRAL especially if the artwork is high quality.

There are more ways to market and promote your games and apps but this is a list of basic marketing you must do in order to make money with android.

  • Depends some days I am too busy to do anything but other days I can get 2-5 hours in but its interuppted never straight.

  • Try appinventor from google that has those features in an easier to use format.

  • PixelPower it looks really nice, I can't wait to play it!

Got to test on my device and it runs perfectly!! Construct2 really works well and handles what you throw at it pretty good. I even got a level where enemies spawning left and right, bullets flying, and I'am escorting a NPC character thats moving on its own....No slowdown!! That goes to show if you program right Construct2 can handle a lot at once.

  • mef1sto professional grade stuff, this looks epic. I can't wait till the release on android I can already tell its going to be a blast. Keep up the good work!! All those upgradables in your game, your code must be looking crazy right about now keeping track of all the stats!!

  • I checked out the video and the game looks solid, great graphics and the cool binoculars to see whats ahead. I can tell a ton of effort was made into programming those features.
