  • thank you everyone for the speedy replies. the linke Nimtrix provided and the updated example from Kyatric were exactly what i was looking for. thank you all

  • Kyatric

i saw that example before posting my question...that's not what i was looking for. if you picture a slot machine with the different "fruits", "7" rolling down through the spinner before landing on a particular random combination...that rolling-animation of the sprite-strip is what i needed help...not sure how the contiguously flashing-colors addresses that. if you can help, i'd greatly appreciate it. thanks.

  • guys, i've searched the forum (and google) for C2 slot machine effect (rolling sprite strip) either [1] i found no examples, or [2] the example with links had bad-url (the link was broken). does anyone have an example (or advice) on how to create a smooth animation that simulates a slot machine rotating?

thanks in advance for your help.

  • guys i have a question: i want a sprite object to move "off the screen" and on to the screen (while controlling its speed, giving the illusion of natural slow down/friction). so can that be done with the sprite "plug in" or must i apply to the sprite plug-in the "8 direction" behavior? when do you use behaviors, and when can you do something directly with the plug-in itself?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks a million, in advance.

  • right on the money, jayderyu; i dont even know what kind of reception ouya would have; but if it becomes popular C2 should beat other platforms (eg yoyo GameMaker, et al)and be the first to port its library of content over to the new platform. like you said, hope they've received, and incorporated the ouya dev kit

  • would "web fonts" be available to everyone, on any platform (including games on android/iphone/etc). i want to use a custom font that would be "part of the game" and available to anyone that wants to play the game... and wasnt sure what was the easiest, most efficient way of doing it. is it too much "trouble" to do such a thing; shall i use "web fonts" instead?

  • thanks a million Astrosus, i was wonder how to save time and incorporate work from one game to another; you're advice was what i was looking for. thanks again.

  • guys the new android game console that's coming out, OUYA; can C2 games run on it automatically; or is there a middleware that needs to be created first? any info on future C2 versions providing native support on that platform?

  • is there a quick-&-easy way of using one "module" (eg, title screen button functionality) from one game in another? so that once you've created something for one game, it can be easily copied/pasted into another game?

  • is there a easy (resource efficient) way of using custom fonts in our games? can the fonts be "embedded" in the game and used easily with a "font plugin" or something that lets you print any string on screen with the font you've saved as your custom-game-font?

  • cool, thanks a million...all these changes (big and small) make a great product even better (eer...how do you go from great to greaterrr)...loving C2 !!! thanks for the feedback.

  • guys newbe question here: is there a way to destroy layouts during runtime via event-sheets to save memory; and is it recommended to even do so or will C2 automatically manage your memory for you?

any help will be greatly appreciated.

    thanks a million in advance.
