slot machine effect

guys, i've searched the forum (and google) for C2 slot machine effect (rolling sprite strip) either [1] i found no examples, or [2] the example with links had bad-url (the link was broken). does anyone have an example (or advice) on how to create a smooth animation that simulates a slot machine rotating?

i saw that example before posting my question...that's not what i was looking for. if you picture a slot machine with the different "fruits", "7" rolling down through the spinner before landing on a particular random combination...that rolling-animation of the sprite-strip is what i needed help...not sure how the contiguously flashing-colors addresses that. if you can help, i'd greatly appreciate it. thanks.
