  • I had this problem, too.

  • Let's hope the spammers don't start spamming already posted topics ...

By the way: here's a list of spam IPs, usernames and emails. If you block them, there won't be probably that much spam anymore ... http://www.stopforumspam.com/

  • Someone is spamming Scirra forums and tutorials. They do that from different IP addresses, so Scirra can't ban them.

When you open the link, nothing appears because Ashley and moderators delete those spams as soon as posible.

  • I think someone found a way to post a topic with a normal POST request, and he made a bot.

Something similar happened to me, someone spammed Square Eater (http://bit.ly/1wKDiNT) leaderboards with more than 700 inputs.

One of the possible solutions is to add to Privacy Policy/Terms & Conditions something like that it's forbidden to do that; if you do that, Scirra can denounce ... Then you can contact their internet provider (based on IP) and then you denounce them ...

  • As I know, nothing happens - just like if there's no ad in the project.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Gotta love the OpenSSL Heartbleed.

It is used in forming https tunnels that secure your connection between each user and your server.

There should be somewhere in Google Play that allows you to address dependencies or injected libraries. You just have to find the openSSL one and point it to the latest library on the web.

I am not as familiar with Google Play, so I cannot tell you exactly how to do this, but here are some relevant pages from Google:

how-do-i-fix-this_t122692 <-- This one says to rebuild your app with Crosswalk 10 --

Thanks, but if I try to build with CW10/11/12, I receive an error immediately: "The build failed. An error occurred while building the application. Verify your build assets are correct and try again." Only CW7 works ...

  • Hello!

Today, I opened Google Play Developer Console and saw this message (by the way, why I can't add an attachment to the post?):

I'm building this app with Crosswalk 7.

What should I do? How to resolve this? imaffett

What actually is OpenSSL? Why does my app use it?

  • Square Eater (http://bit.ly/1wKDiNT) is working pretty good on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, Android 4.4.2, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and even better on Samsung Galaxy S 5 with Android 5 (Lollipop). It works better on Lollipop than it was before, I think.

I don't have other devices to test.

  • Flash is old technology, Apple told that fits the first iPhone already...

  • Is it possible to use AJAX and request a file but only output a certain part of it as text?

I think it's the easiest way to send a kind of version with the GET Ajax request. On the server side, check that version and send the text that is new to the user.

That's only one of possible solutions, it may not be as easy as I wrote

My personal opinion is I disagree with this 100%. Think of "flash". Users will have to update the version in the store every time a new one comes out. But what happens when there is a breaking version (like CW7 to CW10) - your app will start performing worse without you ever knowing it.

The Crosswalk team has stated public they will be doing a shared mode, but think of your own apps issues that can happen. If they distribute specific versions (CW11/CW12/CW13) and you can lock down to that, then

    You're probably right.

Is in crosswalk app packed the whole browser or just the "ingredients" the app needs?

  • What do you mean by "every time"?

With every crosswalk game. It would be better if only for one game that browser is downloaded and then works with all crosswalk apps, no need to be packed in every app...

Was developing a native camera app last night with Phonegap + Intel XDK for Android without Crosswalk and the apk is under 400kb

Without crosswalk the performance is too bad for a game. Camera app could be OK, but it's not good for games (not enough fps, slow etc.) as I know.

  • What happens if you put all the sound into the Music folder? Then it decodes while playing - no need to wait. But idk how is that with sounds... You can try that...

  • Done.
