  • I have used 3dShape in a scrolling game, in looks really good but it blocks the GUI which is top layer with 0,0 parallax.

  • There are plenty of C3 effects you could use and if the effect accepts parameters then you can change them at runtime with a system action called set layer effect parameter or set layout effect parameter.

  • construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/behavior-reference/pathfinding

That is probably the hardest of the methods, use it if you enemy has to navigate around obstructions

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • sorry I meant behaviour

  • you could use moveto: pathfinding: set angle and move forward: or bullet, you could divide the distance and move each step

what plugin are you using to move your enemy?

  • my game runs smooth in firefox but runs rough in chrome. I have compared performance with just my game running locally. On my old hp wx6200 quad nvidia gx440 windows 7. Basically when run in chrome all 4 cores are spiking where a in firefox just two cores seem to do the work smoothly, although firefox seems to use a bit more memory.

  • Hi, i have been stuck on this for a long time. It is a game I am writing for our local museum. They want it on android as visitors get a mobile device that activates when they point it at a display, anyway that is why there are big buttons.

It supposed to simulate the bouncing bomb being dropped from a Lancaster bomber. The bomb has physics and bounces of an invisible immovable object in the water. The problem is the bomb will bounce to the height it was dropped from. I have tried changing all the parameters affecting physics but they seem to make very little difference. When the bomb has bounced once I have tried to apply a 90 degree force and impact but not got it to work yet. It is only a fun simulation but the bomb should reach about half the height it was dropped from and decay about 75% there after.

    many thanks

Woe is me, I rebuilt my machine and now I don't have my C2 licence. Is there a method to get it back?

  • Many thanks eli0s, thats perfect

  • This capx is the header for a video I am making, at the end of this sequence there are 17 continuous particles left running. I want to fade them out some how but nothing I do seems to work. I can't even kill them.

Am I doing something wrong. I have left a bunch of actions at the end of the script so you can see I have tried many things with no results

  • I developed this game using Rex Rainbows demo and have made a few additions.

I have hooked it up to a high score table, started with all red balls and put the next colours and put a random seed because I would like to make the game the same for players who enter the same seed.

This works fine for the first go but the balls will be random on the second go. I think I need to fill an array with a seeded random number so entering a random seed eg X and then play seed all players will get the same sequence, then you can play yourself or others without the element of luck.

Not done that yet, get round to it one of these days.

I must say Rex Rainbows Chess Board plugins are very good, they really take the hard work out of making a board game

  • This game is set at the Maunsell forts which is where Red Sands Radio gets its name from.

I wrote the flying saucer game at the bottom right.
