  • Hi All

My first android game is out – Hoopshot Madness.

What a journey it was from getting construct 2 and having no idea what I was looking at on my screen to publishing a game on Google play. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

It's been educational. It's been fun. Here's to many more games

Hoopshot Madness a basketball/puzzle game using box2d physics

I exported used Construct ver 180 Beta and exported for Crosswalk.

Also used the new built in Admob function for both banner and Interstitial Ads.

You can check it out here:

  • Here's my new game. If you could try it and leave a written rating/ star rating or just give me same feedback I would very much appreciate that. Thank you so much.

Doesn't run on Galaxy tab due to it being x86 architecture. It take it you only uploaded ARM version?

Installing now. (On a Samsung Galaxy tab 3) Will test/play and let you know how it goes.

The APK is signed and ready if you tick that option, but you can also do it manually with zip align etc if you prefer.

    Thanks Allchix for the info.

I have a little bit of slow down in my game when banner ads pop in and when I hide it, but nothing to cry about. I have a question though. I'm now ready to upload my first game to the play store. Do I still have to sign the APK and go through all that stuff? I see there is a "Signed" tick box in the Intel XDK. Does this do it for you?

Sounds cool but have you seen the topics relating to the plugin?

Your app must be signed either by ticking that box and having XDK do it for you, or doing it yourself with the jarsign tool and zipalign. What is the other stuff?

Thanks Codah. I'll go with the tick then. Just much easier HAHA. the "other stuff" is nothing then if this is all I need. Apologies, this is all very new to me and a bit confusing. I am learning as I go along. Will post my game in "Completed creations" once I managed to get it on the play store. Sorry for the cross post. Won't happen again.

oh you've cross posted. I answered in your other post.

Sorry about that and thank you. Confusion on my side. Thought I didn't submit that side.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

After building a crosswalk project with Intel XDK, do you still have to sign it afterwards or do anything like zip align etc.? Or is the APK ready to be uploaded to the play store?

    Thank you.

  • Well done Scirra. You guys are doing a spectacular job. Keep it up.

  • Thank you for making Admob and IAP free. Very kind of you.

  • All Greenworks appears to do is activate achievements and use cloud storage. If you don't need either of those features, there's no need to wait for this to go ahead, just publish the ordinary node-webkit export.

Thanks Ashley, been searching the forums for this answer.

  • This looks great. Good luck with your game. One question - how do you export for steam? Do you use the Node-Webkit option and upload the windows exe folder ?

  • Set your on and of time to 0.1 and set your duration to 0.5 instead of .05. That will give you a half second flash.

  • Not bad. I agree with Windwalker, a jump would be nice, but good job!

  • I have the same issue on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. There is a slight delay in all sounds played. (I use crosswalk and XDK) I've learned to live with it for now.
