  • Regarding multiplayer addon, I have a question.

    1/Is there any way to synchronize the sub-objects of the object when the synchronization object function is triggered?

    2/Is it possible to synchronize string type variables of objects? Currently, it seems that only init or double type variables can be synchronized.

  • You can billboard the text object, but a full 3d extrusion is probably more than they are willing to do officially.

    You should expect to be able to do this with third party options.

    The one that exists would work minus the ability to set text of course.

    When your text is dynamic, it doesn't make sense

    It should require a third party or real 3D shape text from an official source.

  • When I use an external editor, all file names are lowercase

    This can be very confusing for <import> files

    For example, the new file created in the engine is <Hello.js>

    In the external editor, it appears as <hello.js>

    If you improt hello.js .and it tell u is wrong.

    Also, how do I synchronize folders in an external editor

    The external editor could not synchronize the folders within the engine. Nor can you create a new folder (placing scripts in a new folder in an external editor can cause an error)

    chunchun I've just been looking at this and I think VSCode isn't picking up the definition file. If you add a file called jsconfig.json into the project (in the same folder as the c3.d.ts) with the following contents:

    { }

    It should work better.

    Thank you. I found a solution. It is first generated using the plugin in vscode and then coded by itellij idea. He’ll automatically generate and complete everything.

    The only trouble is, I now need to open VSCDOE and itellij idea at the same time to encode

    If you have a chance, I’d like to see the itellij idea plugin.

    On the other hand, this plugin is great!

    When I hide the parent layer,the child layer is hidden, but can still be dragged,Even though I can’t see them。

    I think that when I hide the parent layer, all the child layers are hidden and can not be dragged or clicked.

  • I'm not sure I understand. Any script you import to the main script is already automatically loaded.

  • There are a lot of scripts that need to go to Main.js. The. JS is loaded to handle the tick or layoutStart event.

    Is it possible to automatically load all scripts, creating either tick or layoutstrats on their own scripts.

    They can also organize through 'impor', but it’s much more convenient.

  • chunchunPinbak Think I've just managed to sort this. I was assuming that the eventSheets and families folders existed and it was failing. If you update to the newest version of the vscode extension then it's hopefully fixed. Let me know if you're still having issues! Thanks both for testing this

  • Pinbak How strange, so there's no c3.d.ts file in the root of your project?

    Are you able to take a look in the "Log (Extension Host)" output in vscode and see if there's any errors coming up when you're generating?

    I've just retried on a few projects and it seems to be generating ok for me so I'm thinking it must be a certain object / instance variable name it's struggling with. If you're ok with sharing, a list of your object names might be useful too - in case it is that.

    Really appreciate your help on this!

  • Pinbak In order to connect to Construct you'll need to make sure you add the vscode addon to your project: construct.net/en/make-games/addons/603/vs-code-plugin

    If you just want the code autocomplete you can just ignore the code message though.

    The addon was broken (thanks to chunchun for pointing that out!) so you may need to update it to the new version. Let me know if you're still having issues though
