How to create text in 3D （3d shape text）

The default text addon can only be displayed on the ground

You can billboard the text object, but a full 3d extrusion is probably more than they are willing to do officially.

You should expect to be able to do this with third party options.

The one that exists would work minus the ability to set text of course.

When your text is dynamic, it doesn't make sense

It should require a third party or real 3D shape text from an official source.

I don't think they're going to release an addon for this. However, this can easily be done with third-party tools.

I'm looking for the same. I want to put text on a 3D box that updates as the score updates - like a score board that hangs in from above in the center of a hockey rink, during Hockey games.

But I can't make the text 'sit up' for lack of a better word. The text just lays flat.

Did you find a solution?
