  • I agree with

Many new users that come to Construct 2 for Mobile development and use Intel XDK are usually met with regret and awe on how poor performance is, and the size of their game.

They then create topic on the forum like: "Why dis poor performance happening?!?!?"

Opening doors to other ways of exporting should be an option, and for users to pay for the service's extra plans is their choice. And that's just the thing, users have a CHOICE whether or not they want to pay for the other plans that Cocoon has. We have no idea what circumstances every person has, but they should know their options.

When I load up my game it just crashes when using google play plugin.

Do you have your Service for Google Play Games connected to your App?

Also, may I recommend possibly uninstalling your current plugins and getting them again. It worked for me. After a user on Cocoon Forums offered me the same fix: https://forums.cocoon.io/t/construct-2- ... ded/1366/3

My plugins, although they were the cocoon ones, were not up to date.

My app actually has functioning Achievements and Leadboard: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/co ... ous.Raving

Not trying to promote my game, simply showing proof.

  • seopolis and ,

This is why when you create your splash screen, have a "Loading" sprite under whatever your logo is AND make the delay time for your splash screen as long as it needs to be for your game to load.

My game takes about 15 seconds to load fully. Therefore I have a 15 Second delay time. The splash Screen ends and my game instantly pops up.

So the reason you've got Black Screen, is simply because you haven't given enough time for your game to load!

  • Sorry, KaMiZoTo

You wrote 120mo, so I was like: "What the heck is that?" Since I'm use to reading it as "mb"

Yeah, you would need another plan. I hope you complete your game to its fullest!

  • Cocoon.io is pretty good yes. Very nice results by far.

But the pricing is seriously too high for me. I make games with lots of assets. I will be over 120mo.

So it will cost me 838$ annually or 89.90$ monthly because of the size of my game.

Too expensive for me right now...

  • Hey there, Mayfly

Have you looked at this?: https://shatter-box.com/knowledgebase/c ... ing-fixes/

  • Hey there,

What trouble are you having with the Achievements and Leaderboards?

The unlocking of the Achievements? The submission of score to the Leaderboard?

  • Cocoon.IO is pretty damn awesome.

Build your game, get the new Cocoon Plugins, do a few tweaks with your game by following the resources on this website: https://shatter-box.com/ , and upload to the cloud. When you've got a Key, Cocoon automatically Signs and Aligns the APK. Then all that's left to do is to Build the APK and upload it to Google Play.

A lot of people get frustrated with it, but it's just a matter of learning how to use it. I did find it difficult on finding out what the hell I was suppose to do to get a working APK but once I figured it out, it was smooth sailing from there.

Lastly, I cannot believe that people are actually pissed about Splash Screen. Is the $500 price to remove a image that shows up for about 3 seconds too much? Yes, yes it is. Oh most definitely. But it's only about 3 seconds. Come on guys.

  • Well you're going to need a Google Play Developer Account once your game is ready to be tested and published as an APK. A Google Player Account cost $25. IAP for your game are added via the Google Play Developer Console and in order to set up IAP and sell virtual goods, you need merchant account. I've checked out the Philippines, and you're good to go with getting a Developer and Merchant Account set up. The country list is here that I checked: https://support.google.com/googleplay/a ... le/3539140

A Keyfile is needed to distinguish each application.

  • Hey there,

May I recommend posting to the Cocoon.IO forums? There are plenty of people there that could help you. Even though many people use Cocoon.IO to export there C2 games, most of them find the info they need over at the Cocoon.IO forums for it.

    Also, may I recommend these: https://www.scirra.com/store/royalty-fr ... lates-1879

    https://www.scirra.com/store/ebooks/qui ... ebook-1893

I'm not advertising, those are NOT my products but I myself am thinking of purchasing them because having a guide like those could be pretty useful and the price of those two things aren't that bad at all.

  • try to follow Google Play guidelines, maybe there is another requirements you're missing to publish your games.

If you're talking about me, then I think I kinda solved it, or at least I learned what the problem is. It's the Cocoon Plugins I'm using. I disabled the IAP events and now the app works, so gotta figure out why it's crashing with those....

  • If you're having trouble exporting using Cocoon.IO, seeking assistance on this forum is not really a good idea. You would receive better assistance on the actual Cocoon.IO forums where the actual community that uses the service is.

Am I having trouble using the Cocoon.IO? Yes.

I made an APK, launched it, The two splash screens show and when my actual game starts after 3 seconds the game closes. But I'm gonna solve this problem because my game can actually launch, has good performance, and I've implemented everything I've wanted to.
