  • Still stuck on just the one. AI is currently beyond my skill set but I am trying to learn.

    This seems to work, but I wonder why the extra logic for the enemy? Seems a bit odd, unless I am completely missing something.

  • I must be oxygen deprived or drunk. I have a player and a enemy that basically are duplicates of eachother in every way (except the name of course). The following works for the player:

    [attachment=1:1nv2wk1z][/attachment:1nv2wk1z]

    But doesn't work for the enemy player:

    [attachment=0:1nv2wk1z][/attachment:1nv2wk1z]

    They have the same animations, sizes, origins, image points, and even animations. I cannot figure out why this is working for the player but not for the enemy. Any hints?

  • I guess I should have asked this before I started my project. So I have looked through the tutorials and there are some great examples on setting up basic AI, pathfinding, and line of sight, but nothing quite like what I am trying to accomplish. I guess my question is, with a vanilla construct 2 personal install, is it possible to create an AI similar to what you would find in Medabots AX or Smash Bro's.

    I guess if not then I have a pretty solid system for a normal platformer, so there is that. Also I looked to see if anyone had created a plugin for a decent AI but turned up nothing. Thoughts anyone?

  • Word of mouth helps as well. Get your friends to play and promote it as well.

  • Well there are several ways. One is social media. Make a facebook page for it, twitter about it, google+ so forth. Show gameplay on youtube. Make a website.

    There are sites dedicated to promoting indie games, not to mention hitting up the android forums to promote your game. Ashley made a great tutorial for this found here:

  • Awesome. So far I have been using yahoo's smush.it tool but this should work better.
