  • I'm currently working on a third-perspective 3D platformer but for some reason, the player billboard thinks it's standing on a 3D block when it isn't.

    In this screenshot, the space bar has been pressed and for some reason, the player is at the same Z elevation as the platform on the right. This gives off the illusion that the player is floating when it shouldn't.

    The events for gravity and whether the player billboard is on the blocks or not are here.

    I really need help as I don't know how to fix this.

    Also, the development of the game may be paused until further notice. The reason why is that I'm basically reworking my website (basically an overhaul). Might actually multi-task but who really knows? Might not actually begin work on it again until I finish my website but that isn't really likely.     I just love how all people here are giving downvotes on people asking why the Arcade is not working when they visibly didn't even try to find out themselves that the Arcade has some Internal server errors (5xx error). Instead of verifying, immediate downvotes. how civilized...

    Me neither, didn't expect 3 random people to downvote for no reason tbh :/

    btw pikawilliam11 thanks for finding out why the arcade isn't working! Not sure how you did it but thanks.

    Edit 1: I also forgot to mention. The editor freezes whenever I try undoing an action whilst editing a timeline.

    I actually remember this issue happening to me a few times. I'd type something in and Construct wouldn't respond. There were a few times when it even booted me off due to the editor crashing meaning any unsaved work was lost (I have the backup option enabled which I couldn't bother to use unless the actual file for a game I was working on couldn't be found again.) Pretty sure it even happened because Grammarly spotted a spelling mistake and when I clicked the word, it crashed.

  • New Pixel Letters!

    I didn't really have any motivation to make pixel letters since it already took a while to make the letters for my game, but I've decided that since I want this version to look a lot better, I've made all 26 letters in the English lexicon in pixel art form! Here they are! :D

  • 500 Plays!

    While I had wished that this game would hit the 500-play milestone first (since this was the first time I've made a game here after 2 years), it's still great to see this game have that many plays! I'll actually make an update to this game (once I finish A Very Ninja Adventure Version 1.0 ;-;). But until then, stick around! :)

    Did I tell you I'm an idiot? I just tried it at home, unplugged from a power source, with the home network. Boom, "problem" replicated. I owe you one.

    This may be totally unrelated and it's not like I can help or you asked, but maybe you could calm down a bit? Not trying to sound mean but a response like that might not get you the help you need.

  • So basically, I tried making the camera rotate around the player billboard. However, the camera would only sway side to side and not all the way around the player. The closest I got to it working was the camera being nearly directly on top of the player.

    Not only would some of the cameras from the example projects completely not work, but now I can't rotate the camera correctly without moving the camera super close to the player billboard (x,y). How do I fix it?

    Hello everyone! I hope you all are having an AWESOME day! Anyways, there will be more content and hopefully more enjoyment from anyone who plays! :)

    For starters, I've made a cutscene since any good game needs a cutscene! Here are a few images with dialogue!

    I'm also planning on adding a level-select screen to my game so that you can choose any level you want to play! While I haven't started working on that yet (due to me working on the cutscene), I'll be sure to have it in the game!

    And last but not least...

    I'm removing the demo level and adding newer levels!

    Due to technical issues, the demo level won't be present in the full release. I apologize to those who liked the level (even with it being very buggy and short) but due to the characters being able to walk through the walls and me not being able to find a clear explanation on how to do so, it's gotta go! Level 1-1 barely has any progress though but it'll be longer and hopefully a better introduction to the game (in terms of gameplay).

    Anyways, that's all that I've got for now. I couldn't be bothered to show anything else so that's pretty much it. Thanks for reading this. Have an AWESOME rest of your day! :D
