  • I checked the Next Penelope video diary on youtube, and I noticed their team looks fairly professional and they are taking the process whole-heartedly.

  • With more time, sure I would. But that was a 3 week assignment, and even if I could add dozens of more features, you get at one point you should stop yourself. Other projects on my website are also 2/4 weeks one, and using construct it was the best way for me to do those. Hopefully my final project is going to be bigger (and I'm not offended at all!)

    One thing. In the game folder there is dxwebsetup.exe . Try to run that and than run the game again

    Before I run the game, I actually klicked the dxwebsetup.exe . Call it a old habbit.

  • A soccer game for first game? It would make anyone brain hurt, if you dont know the tools you are working with . I cant help you much, but I see you should get help from some of the examples that came with construct 2. I looked threw all of them, to see how they were set up and by now I can make mostly all of them all by myself, if someone said just the name of the example. I guess the obvious question, how to simulate height on a 2d plane, would be with angular size, and it is doable with events, that change the size of the sprite on certain conditons. You can even set if the size is bigger or equal that this, it would ignore sprites on scene (players).

  • Apply vehicle behaviour for turret also. the container is not broken when creating the turret, rather, It doesnt have the same default movement set by behavior .

    Edit: dont forget to move the initial tankturret on the base if you are going use it on the same layout.

  • I tried fiddling with construct classic a while ago. Which is completely free, by the way. But your game is made in construct 2? So what I am going to say, might offend you, but it is not my intention. This game could had been made in classic and you could had monetized it, without spending a dime on the engine license itself. It is failrly basic. I have a similar game on my 5 year old mobile which doesnt want play anything usually, but that game has far more mechanic and complexity to it, the pixel art is even better than yours. So take your time, and fiddle around with it more, and since your strong point is your art, which I truly belive it is, utilze it by adding more detail and life to your levels. Like lighting, randomly appearing dustballs, animated wind breezes, a little more animation going on the backdrop. I belive you can do it, otherwise I wouldnt say it (your portfolio speaks for it).

  • Oh wow, looks like it is inspired by lander, but more sophisticated. How long time did it take to get to this game?

  • After the instruction screen, it goes black. Any idea what is up with that? But when I press left mouse I hear a gunshot, so I guess it has to do with resolution. But the game is running on window mode, so yeah, I am clueless how to fix it. Any ideas?

    Edit: Looking threw your portfolio. Looks impressive, also I would eat the Moon to be in yours shoes right now and had not gone downhill in 11th grade and dropped out, because I was doing some naughty stuff. Sigh, and also gone to Uni and learned art, like my dream was back when I was just a kid. Tough manual labor/freelance art study works for me also. It is harsh, but it is a way.

  • SharpedX The game say I'm not old enough to see your game

    really? so adding the violence tag, because my game has guns but no gore, like a lot of games on Arcade, means that

    registered users cant play it. I mean, why the game add option did not tell me what it will do, like say, registered users who younger than ,,this age,, cant play it. I just found that one out.

    Overall: Time well spent, a very nice 3 star game. Tough I kind of disliked the complexity on this, it took a long time to see the balls drop so slowly sometimes. The boss fight confused me a little, I tought the green bar was his health <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">, I am so use to seeing bars if I see boss fights. but then I noticed a measly 5% had left on him, and I had over 30 balls still. This fits nicely for 5-10 year olds. The game idea reiminds me of some other game, that I kept replayng over and over on my mobile back when I was in the army. It was called Good Will or something. I like these type of games, because I like to replay them and see if I can do it differently. How did I complete your game? I shot the balls randomly <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">. 6 out 9 I got 3 star, and 3 levels were 2 star. Tough there was a level that did require some aiming, it was level 8.

  • Mano-a-mano? Oh wow you have a lot games :O on Arcade. I like games that have a high learning curve but also has very nice, not-over-the-top graphics, and do not have many cutscenes. So, which one do you recommend to me? I will add a link to my game demo, so rate it, comment it, write constructive cricism! I will do the same, but since you have so many games, I just dont know what to klick .
