I tried fiddling with construct classic a while ago. Which is completely free, by the way. But your game is made in construct 2? So what I am going to say, might offend you, but it is not my intention. This game could had been made in classic and you could had monetized it, without spending a dime on the engine license itself. It is failrly basic. I have a similar game on my 5 year old mobile which doesnt want play anything usually, but that game has far more mechanic and complexity to it, the pixel art is even better than yours. So take your time, and fiddle around with it more, and since your strong point is your art, which I truly belive it is, utilze it by adding more detail and life to your levels. Like lighting, randomly appearing dustballs, animated wind breezes, a little more animation going on the backdrop. I belive you can do it, otherwise I wouldnt say it (your portfolio speaks for it).
