Nice, np! Yeah laptops are a bit silly in that regard, it's a well known issue. Construct does request to use the high-end GPU but the requests are effectively ignored.
Have you checked in Construct? In the about section under webGL Information. Or you can just log platforminfo.rendererdetail and check there. Arguably the effects in Construct tend to be extremely performance hungry so depending on your GPU it could also simply be too weak, there's multiple objects with multiple glow effects floating around, that could just straight up be too much.
Yes it performs poorly (I also have a pretty good MSI) but it's because Chrome/Browsers default to using the integrated graphics chips (In my case an Intel) for power saving reasons. You have to specifically tell windows to use the high power graphics card for chrome.exe (In my case an Nvidia) Then the project works just fine.
You made that collision methods example just for/because of me :D
Ah yeah I just noticed that. It works like that once a "replace whole" is performed. But I did find a slight inconsistency there that I'm also gonna report.
Seems fine for the most part. I did get it to crash with a few specific steps tho so I'll report that. I do think in general that this is a good change, although if we do autoupdating like that, it should also update when I move around the sprites (other than the parent) imo. So the additional options Diego mentioned would be great + also update when I move around the hierarchies.
I just have an additional sprite attached to some replicas. Kinda like how the width/height etc of replicas can be overwitten and different from the template. Worst case I'll just make extra templates tho.
The hierarchy changes are interesting. Though I wonder what happens with replicas that have an additional object in the hierarchy, time to find out :)
Thx for quick fix :)
Jup same here. Hotfix incoming I suppose :)
EDIT: Here's also a workaround, just change the loader style in the meantime.

Ohh I was wondering what exactly it does. This is indeed huge <3
What if I don't want to start on main?
Yeah that's exactly the reason why I'd want this. Feel free to add it to the suggestion platform.
One little additional enhancement for the preview button would be to be able to define a specific layout that is previewed. For example to always start in the main menu instead of whatever current layout I'm on.
Maybe we could somehow join forces with other html5 engines/frameworks in that regard. GDevelop and Phaser gotta be in the same boat here, the more the merrier.
