  • I know but the fill rate is 93% so the ads should be showing. I don't like when I finally have an app that actually alot of people are playing but don't earn anything because my ad setup i wrong And if you want to update the darn app on app store you have to wait for a week or two to get the update reviewed and that sucks.

    I use both banner ads and interstitial and my stats are way way worse

    Impressions = 17 041

    Expected earnings = 0.58$

    My ads are quite friendly and don't make you click them by mistake. But I guess you have to make people click them by mistake to earn money on ads because nobody clicks on ads in games on purpose

  • Hi.

    I'm using Admob via Mopub for my iOS version of my game Bit And Run and in one day i have over 17 000 impressions but the revenue is only about 0.5$

    And my other game Kim Jong Jetpack only has about 1 640 impressions and has generated over 10$

    The ads works the same in both games and so I don't know how I can earn so little for so many impressions. Anyone have any good advice what to do to improve this?

  • Ashley I have to say that I'm also experiencing major "jerking/lagging" since I updated from C2 184 to 191.

    All my games have been running like a charm but now all of them are lagging when you play in chrome, firefox, IE11 and preview over WiFi. Every single method is jerking badly. And this ruins the whole game. Even the game templates included in C2 lags. So what can we do about this? I've tried to uninstall and install the older versions of C2 but the lagging remains.

    I'm sitting on a monster computer running 64-bit so I know its not my computers specs that's causing this and all drivers are up to date. Can it have something to do with our 64-bit computers? Because it seems to run fine on 32-bit systems?

    So please help us find a way to fix this so we can keep working on our projects in C2

  • Tried it and it feels solid and the pixel graphics are nice

  • You can use Rex's Move To behavior and set it to move to charachter sprite every tick while activated. Then you can activate it while in enemys line of sight and disable when outside enemy line of sight.

  • Another way is to pin an invisible box to the character itself for all the intreraction triggering so you don't need to have it on everything. So when the box ovelapps the car, a door etc you can perform the interaction.

    And I think it it easier to just hide the character and align it with the cars front door and pin it there while driving and unhide it when exiting the vehicle. Then you don't have to destroy and spawn the character again and all of its assets and settings.

  • Google Play doesn't pay you anything for your downloads. So it is up to you to monetize your game and make money. You can have a million downloads but if you don't have ads or IAP and your app is free you'll get 0$ for it.

    But with a million downloads you would at least be able to sell the app for quite alot of money to a company who wants your users

  • hundredfold Sounds interesting. I think you can do almost anything with construct 2 and I believe it will be perfect for your project. So best of luck with that

    Most of my games are made in one day except Kim Jong Run wich took me a full weekend to make. I like to work fast and by making many casual games a learn alot. But even if I work fast I try to keep the quality of the games up so they don't end up feeling rushed and broken.

    I haven't even tried to market my apps because they are mostly made for my own practice. So most of them are totally free without ads or anything. I just put ads in there sometimes to learn the process for future apps So the answer is no. I make a couple of bucks a day wich is pretty good for the few downloads my games have because my total lack of marketing x)

    I have a game called Kim Jong Run and it was also really hard to find in the beginning even if you wrote "kim jong run". But now it's one of the first games you'll see by just searching for "kim jong".

    I know about the permissions but they are pretty standard on every app nowadays so not much you can do about them as I have to have something in the game to make some kind of income. The average user won't even look at the permissions before installing so that isn't a big problem for us mobile developers. I hate to put ads in games but people won't pay for a mobile app anymore if you don't have a well known title. So a dev has to do what a dev has to do At least I try to make my ads as discrete as possible.

    I made this game in a couple of hours just for fun and it is just a part of my learning process. So I really appreciate you being honest so I can get better when I'm finally ready for my first big project

    Haha, I totally agree. I'm the developer of the game and my record is 21 so its way way way to hard Usually I become so good at my own games so I don't understand how hard they are for others. But this time I do understand.

    So I'm actually updating it right now to make it easier so you actually have a chance to unlock some new cars, hehe.
