  • This is one way to do it. Not the best example but you can clean it up a bit. Just wanted to show you guys the concept

    I choose to hide the player and not pin him to the car. I just move the player to the cars front door position when exiting the car.

    In a bigger game I would use functions instead so you don't have to do the same events over and over again with different cars.

    And just like ForgedByHand said. You can't add "on collision" as a condition to "on e pressed" because both are triggers. You have to check for "is overlapping" wich works as a condition for a trigger event.

  • JLH1964 What wrapper are you using for your C2 apps? XDK or Cocoonjs? And are they on Android or iOS?

  • szymek Ok, I'm not anywhere near that kind of revenue and my ads are shown during the game over screen exactly like flappy bird for example and interstitials are shown every 10 times you die.

    I have another cocoonjs game with the same type of ads and that one has generated 10xtimes the revenue on only 1 500 impressions.

  • szymek I have about 400 downloads in 2 days wich is pretty good because I haven't promoted my app anywhere except dropped a line about it on this forum.

    But still I feel the revenue is too low. I have over 25 000 impressions now and the total revenue is about 2$

  • Unknow01 One question. Try to set your game in C2 to "Letterbox interger scale". Does it still look jerky when you try to play the game with this setting?

  • Ok, I've managed to get rid of all my jerking now by uninstalling Construct 2 R191 and backed up my plugin and behavior folder. I then deleted my whole C2 install directory. Then I downloaded and installed C2 R189 instead and added my old plugins and behaviors again and BOOM! No more lagging and jerking. Runs like a charm again.

    So I'll stay at version 189 for a while now until I know the "jerk issues" has been tended to

    But this will do for now. Finally I can start my new project

  • For my Android builds I use XDK Crosswalk and that works great with admob. But I haven't been able to build an iOS app using crosswalk so for my iOS games I use cocoonjs and there I can serve admob ads with my mopub account.

    Its pretty straight forward precedure with cocoonjs for iOS even if I get the feeling I'm missing out on my revenue. But if you want to serve alot of ads without earning anything. That's the way to go

  • You should make an event like this: When the E key is pressed and the triggerbox is colliding with the car as another condition --> then enter car or whatever setup you have.

    You don't want to make a check to see if the E key is pressed. The pressing of the E key is the trigger itself and tells C2 you are pressing that key.
