  • So when this will happen?

Can we already setup a subscription to use C3 without restrictions?

No, after the beta ends we will be able to.

    > Best approach to the voting would be to get votes back when an item is declined or accepted I guess.

    >

That's already what is planned as per this post in the first page.

Pretty sure that wasn't there when I read the first page

    Thanks Kyatric

  • As far as I understand, if you're using the personal licence, basically don't report your income officially and you can do whatever you want.

If you're a registered business/sole proprieter, you are to use the business license.

Correct, but in some countries you need to register as such if you make any income from anything.

I think they said somewhere that individuals who are in that group are excluded from business license, but only Tom can answer that.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • It's the same for Germany.

But I believe they already mentioned in looking into this in some thread.

    > brushfe If I'm recalling right, they mentioned that C2 will be maintained, but not many new features will be added. I guess some will still happen, like upcoming xbox support etc, but I think most focus will be on C3.

    >

Ah right. I wasn't sure what was meant by that, but I imagine you're right. Good to know. Thanks for your help!

But it will indeed get some new features like the new Xbox Live Plugin.

And I'm sure one or the other new feature that can be easily integrated will find its way to C2 as well. Bigger ones certainly not.

Best approach to the voting would be to get votes back when an item is declined or accepted I guess.

Is the 10 votes limit based on something?

I'm thinking of when I am voting for 10 things (or give some up to 3) now and later down the line (months from now) there are new brilliant ideas, do. we get another 10 votes?

  • Reading through many of the posts and threads here today gives more more of a warm fuzzy feeling than coming here yesterday. Maybe some are still a bit sceptical, it's natural, but I don't feel that heavy negative vibe as before. Some people, even though they don't like subscriptions or web based will still be supporting the continued development regardless. I don't know if it has something to do with the latest blog post or certain very negative people no longer has access to the forum.

As you guys seem to be in a bit of crunch-mode right now, and I'm quite amazed how your small team can manage all the bug fixing AND answering questions etc here on the forums. I'm curious how much coffee/or energy drings are being consumed at the office lately! Haha

I would probably be hooked up to one of these, filled with espresso.

    +1

The atmosphere is back to normal and it feels like the community back together finally.

Was happy to be a bit more patient during the last few weeks because some people are upset with the large changes we're going through. Unfortunately now he's sent us a pretty nasty and threatening email and I'm having to spend a bit of time doing damage control on other forums he's trying to drag us through the mud on... all part of running an online business though! Fortunately this is a rare event

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, we are ready absolutely everything being posted right now (good and bad) and we are taking it all into account.

Not funny at all, somehow expected that behavior Hope you get that under your control.

But isn't it hilarious that the very same person was all up against that platform in another thread telling everyone about how bad their content is and giving law advice

    > Well well... people on the internet... thinking they can post about anything - even personally attacking people when they are not on the same side of a discussion.

    >

For anyone who missed the context, Lamar was back posting accusations that we're a scam company. Was willing to reconsider his ban at end of beta but not anymore. He's permanently banned now, account and IP address.

    Good move.

He was even sending PMs telling people (to me as well) to not subscribe because "because".

Well well... people on the internet... thinking they can post about anything - even personally attacking people when they are not on the same side of a discussion.

Please tell us how you will be using C3 if you will be subscribing and if you are a serious game designer, small time game designer, hobbyist, educator or using the engine for some other purpose?

Also please tell us if you are a long time C2 user or new to game design or switching from some other engine to a Sciirra engine?

When subscribing I will use C3 just like i did C2 - for mobile games and desktop prototyping.

I'm by no means a "serious" game designer, i have a day job as a backend-developer and am happy with doing this in my spare time for fun, just like others do sports

But does that really matter? I think not. In the end I will pay the same dime like everyone else. I don't even see the real point in asking this. People will not make their decision based on who uses it, but on what they want to use.

I have been using Construct for a little over 3 years a lot due to its blazing fast workflow, but don't fear of using Unreal or Unity or GMS every now and then. Just whatever i'm up to when being in the game-making mood. I woudn't say i'm new to game design though, since i build up quite a big knowledge during these years and am coming from a strong developer background (10y+).

Having tried it for a while the last week.

My second impression is that is runs pretty smooth for me and I love being able to play around in my break at work on a mac / without installing anything (company policy).

The beta is quite limited (for reasons), so I will try again during the Jam week with the full product and have that be the final decision.

However 50€ for the first year is a steal and I'm probably going to support them for the innovation itself.

We will see how it evolves and makes me go for a second and third year.
