  • Can you give some more details about what kind of tower defense game you want to make? There's quite a few different types.

    If it's a top-down one, there's a template/example in Construct 2 that you can use to get started (in the New project list)

  • My only issues with XDK right now are:

    1. I have to export & build every time I want to test using the Crosswalk platform since the debugger doesn't currently support 3rd-party plugins.

    2. Efficiency needs some work, Android exporter exports with unused icons (more of a C2 problem) would be nice if some performance acceleration was present.

    Intel App Preview has not been very helpful, it gave me crashing errors even when the app was not even in memory and had some problems during app testing.

    You can handle the back button using the Browser object's condition "On Back Button Pressed"

  • I've always thought "Easy to learn, hard to master" applied to C2.

    I really admire more visually appealing approaches to complex operations and I wish more programs did the same.

  • You can export to anything with the same project.

  • It's most likely to stop hacking - all purchases are checked with a server, so you can't just hack the game and give yourself infinite money like you can in so many other apps.

    You won't necessarily run into trouble, it just means that if they cheated, once they go online again, any existing competition (leaderboards etc.) probably won't be happy.

  • +1, it'd be cool if we could see which groups are active (or not).
