What Window Size do you have in Construct 2 ?

1280x720 means Landscape in Tizen IDE

720x1280 means Portrait in Tizen IDE

  • cvp

Did you set the application to work only in Portrait Mode

  • Well ... f**k <img src="smileys/smiley24.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Again

    Title

    Forced Closing

    Test Result

    [Defect]

    The application is forced closed.

    [Procedure]

    1. Run the application.

    2. Check if any function is terminated unexpectedly during operation.

    [Expected Result]

The application should not be unexpectedly terminated.

That is all ... How should I fix this, or what should I fix ? I played 20-30 minutes on emulator and worked perfectly ...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I agree that Unity (Free) + PlayMaker (100$ plugin) is one of the best combos out there (Unity itself is great if you are a good coder) ... But you all forget the great advantage that C2 have over Unity: Construct 2 exports games in HTML5 that works on any HTML5 browser even on lowEnd devices (with or without WebGL).

The Unity Player is a plugin and only works on PC browsers (like Flash)... And even if Unity team releases an HTML5 exporter I'm pretty sure it will run slow on weaker hardware and will have compatibility issues (Unity uses UnityScript, C# and Boo when HTML5 uses JavaScript).

Long story short: Both are great software, with Unity you can make better games if you have the necessary resources (coders + artists), but with Construct 2 you can make small games faster and run them on more platforms.

  • I've played a little with Game Develop out of curiosity. It looks and feels like an older version of Construct 2 ... Still is a great free software. Also is remarkable that is developed by only one person (Scirra is a team of 2-3 people). I was really curious about the 3D Box object, so as to create 3D Building for example, but it seems that it works only in native games (is not supported in web games).

Overall is great for a free software, but I prefer Construct 2 because is more advanced.

  • Probably something about the App manifest file:

  • <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Lucky for you friends... My country not participate.

    There is still a way <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

You can add me to your "team" and I will represent and submit the application on behalf of a team of individuals. If you are lucky enough to win I want a share of the prize... let's say 10-15% <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />. This way your app can participate in the competition and I have a chance to win easy money (I will also submit my personal game as soon is validated).

    b]Can I nominate someone else's app?

You can only enter an app that you have the right to submit. In general, this means you must have developed it yourself, or have the necessary rights and permissions from the owner to submit it.

For individuals, this means you need to be the person who uploaded it to the Tizen Store. If you developed as part of a team, this means you need to have the agreement of everyone who helped that you are submitting it on their behalf. If this was developed by your company, you need to have permission to submit.

What if I'm part of a team?

Team-developed apps can be entered, but one person must act as the contact point. If the entry is awarded a prize, this person will be responsible for distributing the winnings.

What if somebody else enters my app?

Entries will be checked against the name of the submitter to the Tizen Store. If there is a mismatch, the entry may be disqualified.

    Can I enter multiple times?

You can only enter each app once. However, you can enter multiple apps.edited><editID>TGeorgeMihai</editID><editDate>2013-11-01 18:15:44</editDate></edited>

  • This is on Tizen ... Maybe is the same on WP8 .

The back button is in the "Browser" Object, with Events for "Back" and "Menu" buttons, and Actions for Closing.

  • Nice work ... reminds me Gotham City from Batman Beyond <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

After a few weeks of work, I've finished my first version of my first game . Work in Progress

Scirra Arcade version can be found HERE

At the moment this is the only version of the game, but I have bigger plans:

    <font color="blue">Bounce Line (Arcade)</font>

Platform: mobiles and browser (resolution up to 720p)

It will be a more polished version of the present Bounce Line (v1.0.0) and will also have the following improvements:

    • Better graphics (more polished)
    • Leaderboards integrated in game
    • Character customization (body + face + accessory) that will bring different behaviors (longer invincibility time after being hit, more points, more/less speed) ... One possible body is hexagonal and another one is a square-ish <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">
    • Achievements
    • Share on Facebook and Twitter (and maybe others)
    • More enemies and type of enemies (<font color="orange">Gold</font> ones will give more points; <font color="blue">Dark/Negative</font> ones will be more powerful/invincible; <font color="red">Red</font> ones will have more life)
    • After 10 levels it will follow a more challenging level (like a boss level)
    • More bounce lines to select from (each gives a different PowerUp)
    • Options Menu (Sound volume, Social Network login ... etc)
    • Support for Landscape and Portrait modes.
    • More interactive Pause Menu.

    <font color="blue">Bounce Line Adventure</font>

Platform: mobiles and standalone game (resolution over 720p)

It will have similar gameplay like Bounce Line (Arcade) but isometric levels ("Legend of Zelda" aspect). Also will feature most of the improvements specified above.

It will also have bosses, different puzzles and secrets.

For this one is possible to resort to Kickstarter <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle">

    <font color="blue">Bounce LineS</font>

    Platform: ...

This will feature multiplayer mini-games using the Bounce Line concept/engine.

    O well ... the fun just starts <img src="smileys/smiley16.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Any opinion or suggestion is welcomed <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Great news <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I hope that second time is the charm <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    hangelog:

    v1.0.1

    Added support for Back key:

    - pressed in Main Menu closes the application

    - pressed during gameplay activates the Pause Menu

    - pressed in Help Menu redirects the user to Main Menu

    - pressed in Congratulations Menu redirects the user to Main Menu

    Ashley

But I found a strange behavior of the Back key in the Tizen Emulator ... I've had the following code:

    <img src="http://s10.postimg.org/7pldsyfwp/tizen_back_error.jpg" border="0" />

The Back events were executed at the same time regardless the conditions from the sub-events.

    Also another strange behavior here:

    <img src="http://s7.postimg.org/lc8hbseaj/tizen_error_2.jpg" border="0" />

At he first press of the Back button the Pause Menu was enabled as expected, but at the second press of the Back button the application closes (or crashes, not sure). Note that at the second press of the Back button there should not be executed any event.

Is this a bug/glitch ? Or I did something wrong in my code ?

I've tested using the Tizen Emulator...
