  • So I tried the new compiler 2.1. So far I don't like it. The problem is that instead having the game loaded for 5 sec on startup. I now have every layout takes a second to load. Even when it has already loaded before. So it feels slow and you get the urge to press again.

    So I rather have a few seconds loading screen then having to wait during the game constantly. So I hope you don't remove the old compiler (2.0.2)

    A different question. How do you hide the navigation bar?

  • The deal is that I am creating a game for android and I cannot use a custom loading screen (from what I have read). But every time my game starts it show the loading bar+ logo of construct 2. Wich is fine because if I put it to nothing you dont see anything wich is confusing.

    Now what I would like is me to be able to change that logo and if possible even the progress bar. As fas as I know you cant do it inside the apllication. But is it possible to change files in the construct 2 directory to change that logo? If so do you know in what folder/map it is?

    Thanks for any help. I know it might be an uncommen question.

  • So achievements and leaderboards is not yet available. Is there en ETA on that. Like expected in 3 months or.. 6 months or 1 month. Store and ads are working I assume then? How are the experiences with fps compared to cocoonjs?

  • Hmm well I didnt know that number was so low. So thats no problem. But what are the advantages of crosswalk and can I do all these things with crosswalk. Thank you for your response

  • So I would like IAP + ads, gameservices(leaderboards, achievements.

    I know for a fact these are all possible with cocoon js. But now I read scirras update notes and it basicly says you shouldn't use cocoon js.

    So can I do all these things with crosswalk then? What are the real benefits chosing crosswalk instead of cocoon js? I know crosswalk only supports android 4 or up so that kinda sucks. But I hear everyone is so excited about it. So can somebody plz give me an answer

  • thank you for your response, so far its working great. Really like using Cocoonjs(ludei) for my construct 2 projects

  • So I use cocoon JS to publish my android game. Now I know you should be able to use online highscores. I also see some of the actions on construct 2 and a lot of them are pretty clear.

    • However I was wondering if there was a manual on how to go about. I have a few basic questions so far
    • Do I need to make use of the gameservices tab on Google Developer website?
    • Or it this managed on cocoon js side?
    • Can I only test it after uploading my game on Playstore or can I test it with a debug signed standard from cocoonjs?
    • Or maybe even with the Cocoonjs launcher?

  • Maybe I didn't explained it well. So for me the only way to get rid of the flickering ludei splash screen is to enable loaderstyle.

    So when I set it to nothing, the flickering comes back. However the loader style construct 2 is very hard to the eye and everytime you load your app it is shown.

    So I try to use my custom loading screen, however so far that did not work. So my basic question is how to get rid of that ludeis splash stops flickering without the loader style.

  • Thank you for your response. No Ludei splash is not a problem.

    As it is now I have to enable loading construct 2 so you see a bar or percentage (the standard loading) If I dont do that Ill have a flikkering Cocoonjs splash screen.

    However it looks really akward the loading of construct 2. And it happens everytime you start the app.

  • Well the subject basicly says it all.

    The loading screen is now with a loading bar(standard construct2). It works but is very small and not very attractive.

    How to make it look better?

  • Thanx for all the responses. My game doesn't have a consumable. What I did was I put it in the description.
