  • I can't guarantee anything, but I'll see what I can do:

-I'm good with building designs, I use Cinema 4D which is great for backgrounds, and sprites for Construct 2.

-I'm good with making music too, I use FL Studios which is good for game soundtracks for Construct 2.

I can probably do it, I can't list all my skills at them moment, but you can try me. Mainly artistic and music. By the way, I don't know any coding. But I have made games with Construct 2.

  • Thanks. I'll try that.

    Done.

I just put in ladders & water in level 2, that solved the main problem. I probably wouldn't have thought of that myself. Turns out it's not a bug after all.

  • Problem Description

____ A concise description of your problem here ____

The main problem is Construct is not doing what I tell it to. I've done everything I could to get the touch keys to work but they won't work, I've checked and tried everything I could possibly think of.

    Description of Capx

____ Concise description of what this CapX does ____

    • The touch keys on my game works just fine on the 1st level, but it does not work at all on level 2, for no apparent reason. I've done nothing wrong, and yet it doesn't work properly, and there's no way to get the touch screen keys to work in level 2. Some of the swim animations don't work either.

-The touch keys are located on the upper right corner. The movement keys are in the game event sheet.

-I've done nothing wrong, I've tried everything to get the touch keys to work but nothing works.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Step 1
    • Step 2
    • Step 3 etc.

    Observed Result

    ____ What happens? ____

When I touch the arrows on the upper right corner (on level 2), the character does not do anything, just ducks when using the lower arrows.

It works just fine on level 1.

    Expected Result

____ What do you expect to happen? ____

When I touch the arrows, on level 2, the character is supposed to move, the upper arrows are for jumping, the middle ones are just for running.

  • Most of the swim animations work now, it's just on level 1:

Everything works now except for the swim animations for the touch keys: left, right, up, up left, and up right keys.

    The updated file.

The odd thing is, the swim animations on level 2 work just fine.

I've bought Cloud service, and my construct file is online, in the link above

In the "Game" event sheet, which is opened, it clearly shows where I have the "Swim" animations.

What am I doing wrong with the swim animations?

-How do I get it the swim to animate properly when he is swimming?

-In the "Level" layout, I just put my character in water in the air, it's tacky but it's a quick example.

Note: the buttons on the upper right corner I use for the animations and movements, for the touch screens. Even the swim animations.

And thank you for your help.

  • I'd like to have 2 buttons, 1 where I can zoom in and 1 I can zoom out, if I hold down on them.

Or on a touch screen, how they can zoom in and out.

  • Good news, it has worked. I've got my game to work on android, finally.

My biggest problem, XDK didn't run: the reason why it wasn't working earlier is because I used a xdk.jnlp file, which was not the Intel XDK program.

I downloaded Intel XDK the IoT edition, and it worked successfully.

In case anyone asks, this is where I got it from:

    https://software.intel.com/en-us/html5/xdk-iot

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Good news, I found Intel XDK the IoT edition and it worked.

  • Is there an alternative to using Intel XDK? Because this I've tried both computers, and it doesn't work on either.

-I'll try their forums, but Just in case the XDK Forums wouldn't help me.

  • And I need that in order to make a game compatible.

It says "Unable to launch the application".

  • I have successfully exported my game from my PC onto the android, but I cannot run it for some reason. It's a new Android that I've just bought that works perfectly.
