  • Hey guys,

    I've been playing around with this for a while, and I think I need some feedback. Especially regarding how well it runs for you. Mind you, this has placeholder graphics, it's buggy, and whatnot. But there is a ton to do in game as is.

    Currently, there is a partial framework for:

    • Separate identities for both Alias and Super mode.
    • 8 different skills/power/devices.

    -- Gun, Grappling Hook, Acrobatics, Fighting, Capturing, Super Suit, Super Flight, Mind Reading.

    • Interior mini-games for Alias Mode.
    • City mini-games for Alias and Super Mode.
    • Drivable car and helicopter.
    • Different Factions. Currently there are "working stiffs". cops, thieves, and enforcers.
    • You can save people from burning buildings
    • You can be good or bad as a "super" or an "alias"... either independently, or otherwise.
    • Lots of hidden notes around the city to help you find the powers.
    • Currently, you can grab all of the abilities from your home (marked SH). This is to test the powers.

    Updates:

    • A lemming-like side quest can be played when entering Jim's Gym. This is where you 'earn' your first ability.
    • Descriptions have been added when you gain a new ability/power/device.
    • Day/Night Cycle now effects crime rate.

    Again, I wouldn't mind feedback.

    Coming soon:

    • Power beam for super mode.
    • Boss MOB.
    • Flying opponents.
  • I updated the zip file... it has the beginnings of an in-game tutorial now.

    Also... I placed some of the powers, skills, and devices, near the starting area. This way they can be played with before I start littering them about other areas and behind bosses. If you go into the building the the SH on the door, there is a full compliment of "pickups".

  • Oh, also...

    I noticed that some of the animations dont seem to be working on the web version... But then again, this game was completely tested with node web-kit. Aren't experiments fun?

  • Hey guys...

    I've been working on a superhero game that I've been wanting to make since I played Superman on the Atari 2600, a billion years ago. lol.

    Currently, it's more of a playground with little explained... but it will evolve into a living city with aspects of game-play resembling games like Defender, Mario, Metroid.

    It's also xbox controller compatible when using the windows node-kit version.

    Thanks for the heads up. I poked around and noticed that the demo link on the actual order page was wrong, so I contacted the vendor about that.

  • Unlocking doors is a lot like the game mastermind. You have to guess the right order of the 5 pins. A wrong guess will put a red gem in that rows placement order, or a blue gem if you guessed correctly. Guess all 5 and you unlock the door and earn a bonus... or else you get attacked and the lock breaks (allowing you to pass either way). Hope that made sense.

    There is a demo/tutorial on that site if you want to check it out. And thanks for the well wishes.
