  • Hey all,

Every once in a while, I inflict myself with a weekend game-jam. This last weekend was to create something like Lunar Lander. Let me know what you think!

    Lander

  • That's Awesome! Thanks!

  • Thanks!

  • Hi all,

I just wanted to post that my game is downloadable for free on Steam.

You can find the page here:

    Hope you like it!

  • jefftrier Good to hear Would be interesting to get some steam stats. Good luck!

And btw, your game looks really good

    Hey thanks! I appreciate that!

    I'll keep you posted.

  • Fortunately, everything works with the Steam wrapper... so getting the game onto Steam was super easy. People will just have to feel their own non-Steam certified sense of achievements while playing my game.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hi all,

My game "Shadow Hunter" just became Greenlit on Steam. I now have the Steam Developer SDK, which seems to be heavy with C++ integration.

So, I was wondering if there is anyone here experienced with integrating C2 Projects.

    Thanks!

  • Julia:

Hey sorry about the late reply. I've been working like crazy this week. Thanks a lot for those comments. It was just the type of feedback I was hoping for.

NinjaSnap: I'll create instructions for the goal (currently, it's just to kill all of the non patrolling ninjas), and for the "Snapping". I must have forgot to create some instruction in the Dojo. Originally, the snap did work in the way you were used too. But I found that on mobile devices, my fingers got in the way when I tried to do trickier maneuvers. Maybe I'll add an option to do the snapping both ways.

CynicRPG: Let me know what you think. It's really just a shell of a game at the moment. But I got pretty far on some of the content.

Super: I'm not sure what you mean by boxes. But, I think this means I need art lessons in pixel land. lol. However, I will say that I plan on making the "Cleaner/Janitor" character do a lot of collecting tools, while ground pounding rats below, and breaking boxes of sorts with perhaps some power-ups hidden inside.

Thanks again for the comments. They were much appreciated!

    EDIT: Clarity.

  • Hey guys,

I just thought I would post a few games my ADHD self has been working on. Most of them are done as far the gears go, but still need more graphics, sounds, bug testing, and content.

    NinjaSnap:

This is a physics game build toward the mobile platform. I still have to add some context sensitive camera zooming and add more graphics and levels. But most of the base components are done.

    CynicRPG:

This is a Dystopian Zelda-Pinball hybrid. An experiment with top-down stealth/action gameplay.

    Super:

This is the game I am "mostly" working on. It's a superhero roguelike, played in the platform style. It still needs a lot of work, and is constantly being tweeked... but it's pretty fun to jaunt around in.

Let me know what you think. I'm curious what some peoples reactions are to some of the play-styles.

    Thanks!

  • Btw... don't forget to clear your browser data if the changes don't take effect.

  • Found a bug (web version, Chrome):

If you're on the lift and go up/down and while it is moving press the opposite direction. The lift never stops and goes offscreen through the ceiling/floor, the sound also keeps playing. Pushing the buttons on the wall to call the lift doesn't work either if this happens.

I did a quick fix on the elevator. Thanks again!

  • Oh, thanks Kouji! I heard about that one, but there weren't any details before.

  • Thanks a lot!!

I'm making it with Construct 2 (paid version).

  • It's been a while, but there are a ton of updates...

    http://simple-distractions.com/Super/

    Some of which are...

    • Live the game through multiple lives.
    • Randomly rolled professions with accompanied skills and mini-games (bare-bones), including:

--- Cop (grab robbers and take them to the station)

--- Emergency Personnel (put out fires, resuscitate the injured, take the needy to the hospital)

--- Delivery Person (Race: Enter a store to start this mini game)

--- Factory worker (Mario Clone: Enter a factory to start this mini game)

--- The Press (earn money thru photography)

--- Construction Worker (Lemmings Clone: Place citizen directing equipment)

--- Robber (Elevator Action Clone: Enter un-occupied Windows)

--- Re-Randomize what you want to play as, by using the bed to Retire the character.

--- About 8 new skills/devices added to the list.

    Next Up:

    • Adding Game Saves.
    • More instructions.
    • More skills/abilities/devices.
    • More locations and things to do.

    Issues:

    • The new cycle weapon feature isn't fully implemented, and can be wonky.
    • There needs to be some instructions included in some of these mini-games
    • Loads slow at first. I'm still working on optimization.

  • Wow very nice. I seem to die sometimes, but don't know when i'm being attacked, maybe make the character flash red or some blood when attacked

Thanks IndiKiwi! I meant to reply, but got tied up.

Instead of blood, I am going for a cliche comic style (BIFF, BAMM!, etc...). After reading this, I made the effect stand out a bit more. Let me know what you think!
