  • And just to add another layer to this topic, (just because I didn't wanna start a new topic that's so similar to this one) what makes for good horror these days? Like what is it that stands out as unique against the rest? So much has been done at this point.

Is it jump scares? Strange imagery? The mere possibility of a threat without there ever actually being a threat? I've noticed what I call "minimalist horror" seems to get a lot of attention lately.

Yeah, but in the mean time are you going to rent it assuming it will change? I kept with c2 because I had it on pretty good authority that if A then B. A happened, but B never did. Wait for c3 I was told, then B. Well, here we are and it seems like c3 still doesn't have B.

Nope. I'll stick with what already works for me, which is C2 and GMS2. Then again I don't like the idea of getting all hung up over one software when there are plenty others out there that can potentially fill my current needs. IF C3 becomes something useful to me later on then I will gladly use it at that time. Until then, it really isn't that big a deal for me to stick with what I already got.

  • Of course, thank you for that!

  • It's certainly different from what we're used to with a Scirra product. And personally I'm not 100% sold on it yet myself, but I'm sure they still have plenty more to show before its release. Don't wanna bury em before they're dead, ya know? They might surprise us all with something that we never even saw coming that just blows our minds. Whatever it is, if it's worth the price to me, I'll pay it.

  • Everlasting lock-in hell sounds like a pretty great bullet hell title.

But, I dunno brotha! Only time will tell what sort of model the C3 may take on in the future! For now I think they probably have their hearts set on what they got.

  • I think they got some kind of deal for users upgrading from C2, don't they? Not like a one time paid forever kind of thing, but a temporary discount to start with.

    edit: Here it is!

  • Ah you never know how C3 will turn out later on down the road. C2 when it first started sure isn't the C2 we got now. I'm sure plenty more will be added in time.

  • I saw this I think about a week or so back, and it really made me much more hopeful. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/developers/id It's pretty cool that others are stepping up and offering alternatives.

  • Ehh the full game? I hope within 2017. But I am going to have a demo ready to go well before then for sure. It will cover the Prologue and the first chapter, so there's going to be plenty to see and play. Prologue is already complete and chapter 1 is about 60% complete, so it's already pretty close to being demo time now.

  • Hey thanks man! It's nice to see this game getting a little love. I was starting to get worried! Yes, the music shown is final.

  • I had the idea to try remaking one of my older games in a top-down perspective. Just for funsies. I kinda like it though. Right now it plays a little like Hotline Miami and Resident Evil.

  • Cool stuff- Loving the old White Zombie reference there too! Seems ol Rob's work can always find a comfortable spot in an explosive car title! (Twisted Metal)
