  • Ah, that's no good. Well thanks for looking out!

  • Yeah, been making these games with C2 since 2015. Is there something going on that I don't know about?

  • Finally pushing toward the final stages of work for this remake! Working on the final draft for the end cutscenes now!

  • It's... Kinda adorable, really. I'd probably check it out. It never ceases to amaze me how less than 100 pixels can clearly depict what is happening in an image. 5 simple colors and you can tell there's a tiny mad man ninja kicking through the air with a knife in his hand!

I say keep doing what you're doing.

  • DarkRoomGames ,

For a free DLC, you can unlock additional content in your game if a special condition is true so yes you can do that via achievement even if steam stats are better to track player progress. (eg player own DLC_free_01 and achievement "UNLOCK_DLC_FREE_01" are true then allow content x).

But you can't disable the "buy" button on steam store for a DLC.

    Regards,

Thank you for the response! I'll definitely have to pick this up then.

  • I've never messed with Steam achievements/DLC in my games before, so this may be a silly question. Can achievements be used as a means to unlock DLC? If so, would that be something that can be done with this plugin, or would that be done through SteamWorks?

  • A couple weeks of good hard work and now the remade cutscene where Amber finds the machete is complete! Enjoy the new-old experience:

  • Putting the final touches on another one of the more important cutscenes for GP! Sprucing things up has been fun!

  • The cutscenes in GP have had a major upgrade in quality since 2015!

  • Ready for some high speed, in your face action? The combat system for GP is finally all set up and ready to go! Check it out here!

GP: Grave Prosperity is an upgraded remake of LDC Studio's 2015 Grave Prosperity: Redux

    Plot:

"GP follows a woman named Amber Ridge as she finds herself broken down on a mountain road. Without any reception and no signs of help, she is forced to seek shelter in the nearest town- Prosperity."

    Gameplay Breakdown:

This game is still an action/horror hack n slash title that is pretty unforgiving in its difficulty and focuses heavily on player reflexes. The combat has remained the same, but the controls and animations have been updated to better accommodate the fast paced combat system. Amber's move set includes:

    <>Default 4 hit combo

<>Thrusting attack for closing distance with the enemy

<>Counter attack based on timing after blocking an enemy attack

<>Acrobatics for evading enemy attacks (forward roll/back flip)

<>Frame cancel at any time during an attack to dodge or block

GP has omitted the previous game's up and down movement and has streamlined all navigation to a more practical left and right movement. Also, the pause menu has been removed in favor of a live action interactive HUD. So changing weapons and using recovery items is all now done in real-time, in or out of combat.

Upgrading Amber is now also more accessible, as enemies and events now offer a better balance of EXP. Upgrades include:

    <>Increase Max HP

    <>Increase Max Guard

    <>Increase Melee Damage

<>Increase the effectiveness of recovery items

<>Increase Firearms Attack Power (when they become available)

  • Aw man, I don't care if these are all ripped assets straight from an emulator! This is a real blast from the past! Me and my childhood best friend used to play this game for hours back on the SNES. It's very cool to see something so memorable being brought back, and for the opportunity to see it from the inside as well!

This is something I would love to see made completely, HD or not.
