  • there is a counter at the bottom of the screen. it tells exactly how many events. i believe global variables also count as an event.

  • Hi, this is what I am working on. A turn-based battle for 2 players.

Would appreciate very much if you can test-run it and give me some feedback. Here is the link.

  • Hi, Im stumped applying the Touch Control on my game. I need some help, please.

What I want to do accomplish are:

    a. on click/touch > make the sprite active.

    b. on 1-finger touch on empty space > make the active sprite rotate counter-clockwise continuously 1 degree until touch is released or 2-finger touch is made.

    c. on 2-finger touch on empty space > make the active sprite rotate clockwise contnuously 1 degree until touch is release or 1-finger touch is made.

I made several attempts which you can see on my capx but failed to do exactly what I want to accomplish:

    a. Redship > I can make it to rotate counter-clockwise continuously BUT I can not make it to rotate on the opposite direction.

    b. Greenship > I can make it to rotate 1 degree counter-clockwise on each 1 finger touch and clockwise on each 2-finger touch, BUT not continuously which can be very tiring to users.

I hope someone from the forum can shed some light on this. thanks.

  • ... but i really do like the simplicity of the game. it is truly a 'casual' type game, that will probably evoke memories in a lot of old coders like me, as well as being a nice game for kids to be introduced to.

ok, i'll stop frothing and ranting now...lol.

    keep working on it.

Now that we have acquired a Construct 2 license, we will continue working on it and hopefully make a very good quality game. Although we plan on adding new features, we will do our best to keep it simple and true to the original pen-and-paper game. Cheers!

  • ...lol. but that just makes me love your game even more, because it reminds me off my best friend, and how we goofed off during our social studies classes.

    ...

Thank you very much for liking the game. I was so excited using Construct 2, i can not believe the progess I was making with the game and I stayed up the whole night just to finish it. Like you, memories of my friends also keeps popping in my mind while I was coding the game. That was ages ago.

  • Hello Everyone,

For years I've been dreaming of making my own computer games. That dream just recently became a reality when I learned about Scirra's Construct 2.

Tirahan is a turn-based strategy/war game designed to be played by 2 players on a single computer. It is inspired from a pen-and-paper game we used to play when we were in grade-school.

The object of the game is to destroy your enemy flagship while of course, protecting your own from enemy attacks and other hazards.

We also uploaded a beta version on Scirra Arcade, but there seem to be something wrong with Keyboard control so you may not be able to play it there. We have already sent an update of the game and currently waiting for it to get approved and posted.

We hope you will try the game and give us your comments and suggestions. It is still under development, but we have finished the basic functioning of the game. We will be adding new features like advanced weapons, shields, more player slots, etc, as soon as we get a Construct 2 license.

Hope you will like the game! Good day everyone!

  • I found a thread discussing the same error. The user mentioned something about implementing a Touch Control on her game. Upon removing the Touch Control object, the keyboard control problem did not happen.

So I decided to remove the Touch Control Object in my apps as well then re-upload it again. Now it's working on Facebook again!

  • Hello Everyone,

My test game finally got uploaded in the Arcade section. However I found out that the keyboard controls are not working, thus the game can not be played. I encountered the same problem when I try to link my game to a Facebook page. I have uploaded my game to our website and is working properly. Appreciate any ideas why this is happening and how to fix this. Below are the links to my game. (You need to copy and paste the link.)

  • Thanks for the info lanceal. I checked the cpanel of our webhosting and there is a section there about ssl. there is a page there where you can generate some keys and everything. I have not fully explored it, but as soon as i get proper authirization, i will explore and mess with it. i think that will solve the problem.

Also, i made the initial link to facebook using the tutorial i found on this site. I can preview the game. however, some of the keyboard controls in my game doesn't seem to work.

    again thanks.

  • Hello. I have uploaded my Construct 2 game on my website and is now working. I want to publish it on Facebook. But I can only get it to work if I have "Sandbox Mode: Enabled" which is only for testing and not accessible to public. Everytime I disable Sandbox Mode I get the following error:

    Error

Secure Canvas URL is required when Sandbox Mode is disabled.

Secure Page Tab URL is required when Sandbox Mode is disabled.

Any idea what are these and where can i get this info so I can input it on my Facebook settings?

    Thank you.
