  • Hi, I'm wondering if I'm able to add different looking enemies into this template? I want to be able to make villains with different body sizes and different sized collision regions.

    Hi, the enemies use the collision polygon in the image editor. You can change them as you wish

  • Absolutely amazing what you've done here! Beautiful! One question please: How difficult would it be to add a "shooting" aspect to this template? Instead of punching enemies, I'd like to give the character a gun to shoot projectiles...?

    Well I was asked the same two days ago, and I was able to make a rough test and took me like 30 minutes and about 15 lines of "non-optimized" code ( I hadn´t touched my template in years before) to get an 8-direction shooting system. So it will depend on your debugging skills... it is not just to " add code" but to analyze how the new code interacts with the rest of the template.

  • browser is not brought "on top"

    Just a small bug maybe, in the latest stable version I was able to press F5, F4, or PREVIEW BUTTON to preview and the browser would be brought "on top" of the screen.

    In this version, it works only if the browser is closed. if the browser window is in the background, it will update but stay in background, and if I press preview several times, it is brought on top but with a new tab loading a second instance of the game.

    Nothing critical, but a little annoying when you are already used to the shortcuts, adn you have to fix/test a lot.

  • are you destroying the obstacles that are already out of the window?, even if you can´t see them, the engine is still calculating position and collisions, that might be causing your slowdown

  • place the event that checks both keys at the end, for example event 1 down, event 2 right, event 3 down+right

  • just add new shapes for the blocks, the code should automatically make them work.
