  • Sorry , boolean must have been posting when I did :)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Make sure you clear your cache. Also, I found that some plugins in FF cause problems sometimes, such as NoScript (it's since been updated). Hope this helps.

  • Maybe because most of the third party don't support in game advertising, such as Admob, RevMob, etc. For example, Appmobi doesn't have this, except to advertise another developer's game, which doesn't actually make revenue. Cocoonjs requires a premium account to take part in their ad revenue program and Phonegap I don't think has any ad revenue program. I haven't looked deeply into the matter, so I could be mistaken on any of it, but having the ability to add the requirements directly into C2, then export to an apk file would certainly be helpful to many.

  • Yes you could do so by exporting to CocoonJS or AppMobi, but i would advise to stay away from AppMobi (lots of bugs and their support sucks ) , your best bet is CoocoonJS , they are suppose to come out with a new release this weeks with lots of new features and performance improvements, finally HTML5 games on mobile is coming to a reality :)

I think it depends more on the individual. I received fairly quick responses from AppMobi, but absolutely nothing back from CocoonJS.

  • And yes, you are correct cyberdrizzt. I have also used RevMob in the past with another game engine and found it to have very good payouts.

    Jason

Out of curiosity, what game engine are you referring to Jason?

  • You'll find it won't bring in any actions or gml code. You'll have to redo all of that. You say you've been working on your game in gm for 5 or 6 years. Prepare for a learning curve. I'm not saying that as a negative towards C2, but like you,I've been using GM since about version 4, so I'm quite used to it. When I looked at C2, there is no coding, etc. It really is a different critter, but I think if you take the time and learn it, you'll be happy with C2. The support for the C2 product in my opinion is quite good, and so is the community here.

  • It would be a dream come true if it did ;)

  • > It's great with mobile for my apps that require lots of power. Even 3D games made with construct work great!

Can I ask what you are using to crate the mobile apps. CocoonJS, Appmobi ?

Currently, and hopefully I don't get lambasted for it, Eclipse and Libgdx. Granted, I have to learn it, code it and test it through it's emulator, but it does give me the freedom to include any ad network that is available for the target. Don't get me wrong, C2 has much going for it and it does show promise, I'm just letting it mature a little more :) Don't get me started on GMS though. Granted it too is a excellent tool, but it can be pretty restrictive, not to mention, expensive for many (I don't wish to say too much regarding it as this is out of scope for a C2 forum).

  • I too learned something new. Now I'm going through my own projects to make sure I haven't made similar situations. Thanks for your efforts though <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Kyatric : I did post a link to the example I was using which was a tutorial with a capx I was using.

ramones : Thank you. That indeed corrected the problem. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to find the solution. Many thanks!

  • Tried with the same Chrome you have and received the same results. I don't have another Windows based PC to try this on. I'll wait and see if anyone else experiences the same issues with the example.

  • Well, I'm at a total loss then. I did the exact same thing, made sure I saved the changes, ran the second layout and ghosts moved through the walls and off the screen. I too am running r112, under W Vista Ultimate and Firefox 17.0.1
