Awesomium claims to be alive again

Well that's just fantastic! I was wondering if there was some official work being done on this one, as Ashley & crew are da bomb and I wouldn't trust it from anywhere else! (Does that score any brownie rep? :P)

Seriously, thanks Ashley; I was very discouraged by the slow updates of Awesomium and the steep prices for licensing.

I hope that node-webkit will be good. I recently noticed that when i start the game, the text objects wont show up until i trigger them with some action wich is kinda not good when i do quick preview versions for showing to ppl ^^;

Could you please file an issue with your code on our issue tracker? I'll see this.

rogerwang - thanks for stopping by! Great job with node-webkit, seems to be working nicely in testing. However I think Miu3 was referring to an issue with Awesomium which is a different Chromium based wrapper that we'd previously been using but had some trouble with.

Ashley and Linux?

Node webkit supports win/mac/linux, so I'm pretty sure he will especially considering that the Steam console/computer will be using linux.

It makes me wonder if HTML5 works with Steamworks, i doubt if we access DLL via node.js module

Ashley : is it going to be easy to add support for various things via the plugin system ? With node, it's easy to add functionnalities. Are we going to have explicit support for disk access, or embedding other "node-*" things in it ?

When will this new node system be implemented?

I just purchased C2 which is amazing product but have been dissapointed to find the additional licensing costs with Awesomium - and have also found on my initial testing with that issues like the text not rendering etc.

I have updated and the new system is far superior, just what I wanted.

NodeKit works great, but the file sizes it produces are monstrous!!!!
