Thank you for hierarchies support for opacity, I've needed this since hierarchies was added for UI! Now I can completely deprecate usage of ProUI!
This is awesome!
Great work Construct Team!
Is "improve reliability of network requests that are served by Service Worker" an attempt to fix the 404s when requesting local files in preview?
If so, thanks for looking into it Ashley, I've been trying to reliably replicate it but I still can't figure out what causes it. But it happened all the time.
Let me know so I know to use this version and test it!
Thanks for looking into it, I haven't found a way to reliable replicate it. Seems almost random at the moment. If I do, I'll file a proper bug report.
There may be a regression, in this version, it's getting 404 on local files, trying to access for example JSON files from preview.construct.net/test.json instead of the local file.
Awesome! You're amazing Skymen! Good luck on Sooth.
Thanks!
Hey Scirra, in the new beta version, my AJAX plugin keeps randomly starting to attempt to load files from preview.construct.net/filename instead of the project folder. It happens seemingly randomly, and from that point on no longer attempts to load any file locally. Even though those files are there.
Great job Scirra!
Some suggestions regarding Hierarchies...
1) When creating Hierarchies through events, it could pick the children by default, just as creating objects picks them
2) The option to wrap the entire Hierarchy, could that possibly show the parent's variables and behaviors on the properties menu? That would be useful for building composite objects.
The problem with that is normally a hierarchy will be a set of objects used in a much more complex scene. And wrapping selection does not save, so every time you want to move that set of objects, it's just selecting everything as per normal and instead of moving it right there and there, with the added step of hitting enter key.
Thanks for the response, Diego!
That's all I wanted to know.
Yeap that's right, and you can't have two objects of a kind in a container.
The scene graph is really shaping up! Amazing work Scirra. Some questions I have:
1. Is there any intention to make it so you can select an entire hierarchy and move it as a single object somehow.
2. Could we have a way to name a hierarchy as a pseudo object and use it to clone multiple instances of that hierarchy, or a feature that performs that functionality?
Anything for the scene graph is much appreciated!
I haven't tested it in this version, but I was having some issues with save state and scene graph in r213. Something about picking instances before they were created.
