You need to set the size of the array. The default is (10,1,1). Select the array and look at the properties tab on the left. You can also set the size in an action: Set size.

Let me know if you want to try a debug version, or added logging, etc. I fully appreciate the dilemma of not being able to reproduce a bug. It definitely seems to be in the grid-drawing code.

Right-clicking on any sub-event will show 'Add local variable', instead of 'Add global variable'.

By the time I finished the MIDI plugin, I was so fed up with MIDI that I moved on to other things <img src="smileys/smiley29.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> MIDI is still a hassle to use. Despite the initial furor, I haven't heard of anyone else actually using it.

This is expected behaviour. 'Numbers' are generally floats. Either use round(angle) or check if the difference is within some tolerance, abs(270-angle) < 0.01, for example.

You wouldn't disable them, you'd use UID instead, for example. Often to link things, you store the UID of the other object so that you can always pick, regardless of which object is picked first. If you are happy with a separate ID, then leave it alone.
