  • Lncredible mediafire.com I'm not the most professional user of C2, so my means of using event sheets may seem messy and weird.

  • Recently, I started to make a game along the lines of how Plants vs Zombies is played. A tower defense game that takes place in rows. I've gotten a lot of the things I needed set up, but I'm encountering this random bug, that really makes the game impossible to play properly.

Whenever a turret fires, it somehow prevents other turrets from firing. I've tried making the bullets and the turrets as personal together as possible. But nothing seems to work. I don't quite understand what triggers it, because it only happens sometimes. I need help fixing this, anyone have any idea?

  • Now, this topic is something I've never seen before, I cannot explain it, and it ruins my entire project. This happened after I restarted my laptop. I saved my project, and I exited Construct 2. Afterwards, I started my computer back up, I launched Construct 2 via Steam, and went to open the capx file, and it was a zip file? I don't understand what exactly causes this weird little bug, but the capx file became a zip file, and I cannot open it through any means. This is around 2-3 months of work, and it's all lost because of some magical bug that doesn't follow any known logic.

I desperately need help, this project means a lot to me.

  • I'm using the "Speak Text" command, and I want the voice to say the username of the user. What method if any, would be able to do that?

  • This didn't happen to me until just a few minutes ago. I'm making a large scale sprite, putting in small details to make it look nice. I exit the sprite editor to save the project. After saving I opened the sprite editor back up, and tried zooming back in into the sprite. The sprite vanished, so I zoomed out, it came back. I can't zoom into large sprites, they seem to vanish. Is this fixable?

  • Instead of just clipping through the solid object, who would I make the player "die" if they get caught between two solid objects.

  • oosyrag I figured out to do: Turret Range*1.8 = X, X = Range Object size. Thanks anyways.

  • When making a simple tower defense game I've come across this seemingly simple issue. I want to make it so when the mouse is hovering over a tower, an object will popup over the tower that is suppose to represent the towers range. This sounds very simple to do, just make the range sprite the same size as the range. But that isn't a proper calculation for the range as I've learned. What would be a simple way to make a proper range sprite for a turret?

  • Can I "enlarge" a tilemap? Say the tilemap is 32x32 tiles, but I want them to be scaled up to 96x96, but I want to keep the size to 32x32 when I edit the tilemap.

  • Currently, I am trying to make it so when the player collides with a certain sprite, the player's position will be set to another sprite with a certain instance variable. A better way of putting it is: When the player touches a staircase, they are brought to another staircase. The staircases touch has a variable called "Warp". Each staircase has a different variable. When the player touches a staircase with a warp variable of 0, they are sent to a staircase with the variable of 1. The game this is needed for is a top down shooter.

You will need to elaborate. What is your problem?

As for falling directly on the player... that would be a set of conditions, up to you to decide what is most suitable.

    For example...

    Thwomp On collision with Player

    Thwomp is falling/moving

Player is within Thwomp.width/2 of Thwomp x position

    Then do damage

Else (custom movement) Thwomp push player out at angle

X as in, to compare if the players position on the x axis is close to the enemies x.

  • Recently, I've been trying to add new enemy types to my game. If it wasn't obvious through the title, it is a platformer. One of the enemy types I'm going for is a mariowiki.com/thwomp.

I've been using compare x to make them. But they glitch sometimes. I also want them to only hurt the player if they fall directly on the player. Can I get some help please?
