I do the same, but in combination. I never really thought that I could just use another var. Thanks for the suggestion and help

I can't wait to get the next update and to show everyone the difference spriter has made for my Dragon DaKoo. I really enjoy spriter, can't wait to see version 1.0 pro hit, the more I use it the more potential I see it has. This is bloody awesome of you, so thanks for the support!:)

  • Please let me know if you do. What driver are you currently running?

  • Thanks for replying Zenox, seems you were right on.

Until I read your post I forgot that I had upgraded my driver to the Catalyst 13.10 beta driver.

Once I reverted back everything is fine again.

I fairly sure the problem was The 13.10 Driver, as it has a new feature called Frame Pacing.

Frame Pacing syncs the Crossfire setup and really cuts down on micro stutter.

I really like it , shame it breaks C2. I really hope it's not a problem when the whql 13.10 driver get released.

Regardless, I probably would have been stuck on this one for a while so thanks a bunch,:) <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I've been having issues with C2 since the last beta release. Since this is happening on all capx files I have tried, I assume it might be a bug with C2 in general, but since I'm not sure I figured I should post it here first. There are 2 problems I've noticed.

1 Problem occurs When I open C2. I see three small white windows open and disappear before C2 opens, which I have never noticed before. Opening a project can take several minutes now. this did not happen in the previous releases.

2nd problem occurs when I click on a something in the event sheet, the "objects" window goes through everyone of my layouts very slowly before I can add/modify /delete anything to the event sheet.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having a similar problem?

  • I've been switching my game over to use spriter animations and I've kind of hit a wall.

Originally I used a sprite pinned to a simple shape and used the "is playing" condition with the sprites animation.

Now I can't seem to find the same thing for my spriter object. I was wondering if I am missing something or if there is a work around that someone might have thought of to replace the "is playing" condition.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Just purchased my copy, well worth the price. Can't wait to see how this progresses. Simple and very easy to control. It's cut my animation time down from what would take half a day to draw frame by frame to maybe an hour or two. Everyone should check the free version at least.

  • the link works for me ...Here it is again just highlight and right click open in new tab and it should be fine, thanks to Miu3:)

  • I personally didn't know what to expect when I first started with C2. I had seem GM before but it didn't interested me. What got me to take notice here was the community. Lots of sharing of ideas, it just seemed like it had potential in a lot of different ways.

I can't say I am fully up to par with every ability that C2 is capable of but I can say it can make games that look as good as any it really just takes the effort. As for exporting and third parties. Webkit seems to work completely fine from the testing I've done and the performance, at least for me, is better than chrome browser in r129( have not tested since).

I have had some problems with C2 don't get me wrong, but they come more from inexperience and misunderstanding. And there are things I would like to see, native exporters would be awesome. But the price point for C2 is really spot on, changing that would isolate a lot of potential game creators. So third party exporters are fine with me as long as I can figure them out lol;)

  • **Edit

Hey Ashley, thanks for responding. I have solved the issue seems that this line was caausing the problem...

    <condition id="0" name="On collision with another object" sid="4299" type="snow">

I had removed all instances of snow from the project and it was not removing the line from the XML file. Thanks for your help

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open any project in C2

    Observed result:

    Receive Error

    "Failed to Open Project

Object name in object parameter cannot be found in project

    File may be invalid

This happens regardless of what project I try and open. Spent several hours removing entire sections of "code" to end with the same result again and again, every time the error is the same but the Line is changed.

    Expected result:

C2 to open projects like it has and still does in version 129 and earlier

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: not applicable

    Firefox: not applicable

    Internet Explorer: not applicable

    Operating system & service pack:

    Windows 8 latest updates

    Construct 2 version:

    131 ( 130 is also effected)

  • Corel Painter is also very nice and very user friendly. You might want to try the free trail as well.

  • This might have already been asked and answered, if so, please point me to the thread.

I was just wondering if there's a standard layout that people can add to the start of their games, something like Nvidia, Ati or UDK might use. A standard layout that shows the C2 logo the way Scirra wants it to be?
