  • Hi linuxblue,

You can download C2 (to install on your system) by going to the C2 home page (click here), and selecting the download tab. Alternatively you can scroll down to the bottom of any page, where you'll find a download option, which provides links to the latest stable and beta releases.

And as RookieDev mentioned, don't forget to add your license doc to your documents folder.

Edit: once you put the license file in your documents folder, your copy of the software is automatically recognised as a full copy!

    Hope that helps.

  • Hey tulamide,

I've only just seen your update. I've often thought it'd be nice to be able to tag/favourite a thread, so that it's easy to keep track of any updates. Anyway, luckily I was looking on the site at just the right time to notice it!

Thanks for another fantastic collection of music. I really liked both dungeon-(soft) & (strong)-8b. Not sure if it's what you meant them for, but I thought they would both work really well in a western/cowboy styled game. Leisure-8b has a very fun relaxed sound, that would work really well in any platform styled game. I liked alone-8b as well, I thought it was a very moving piece. Run-8 & 16b both felt really heart pounding, and suit their name very well. And forces-8b was a really BIG sound, and very intense, really good for building atmosphere in a game.

Thanks for making these free to use. You must have been working very hard to get 12 more tracks out so soon.

  • Hi Artwark,

C2 users are a pretty friendly bunch of folks, and you'll almost always find someone to help you out when you need it. So just post a question on the forum if you get stuck.

But remember there's already masses of information on the forum. So it's always worth doing a thorough search, before asking a question.

    Good luck

  • Hi RattyRat,

You're experiencing problems because you've added the wait action after setting the timescale to zero.

Setting the timescale to zero is like stopping the clock, so the system cannot measure the 2 second wait action, because the clock has stopped.

You can set each individual items/objects timescales to zero, so you could try that instead.

Hope that helps you to understand your problem a little better.

  • Hi austin,

I've been trying to add Clay.io into my windows phone project. I used the C2 tutorial 'Windows 8 and Clay.io Integration', for reference (as there don't seem to be any tutorials specifically for Clay.io + Win Phone integration).

I've had some partial success, but the modal windows do not display correctly (see images below, img_number1 = log in modal, and img_number2 = scoreboard modal). As you can see, it doesn't look too good!

Do you know if anyone has achieved successful Clay.io integration with Win Phone yet? If so, did they post any tips on the process?

  • AlexKvazos,

Yes Webstorage works on all platforms without needing an internet connection.

You can also use 'Save Slots' to save the complete state of your game (if this is easier)!

  • Hey Tobye,

Haven't had to do it myself (yet)! But I thought this might help you to create that scale up/down that you're after. vtrix has created a really smooth scale/zoom action on this example.

    Good luck

  • I'd be happy to help out if you need it! Sorry I don't have any professional game testing experience, but I've spent 1000's of hours sat in front of the console though ;)

  • MakubeX,

Yeah I know what you mean. It can be very frustrating when it seems as if something should work a certain way but it doesn't! I've had quite a few of those occasions myself.

Nice to know that there are so many friendly people on hand to help out though! So thanks a lot for all of the help :)

  • Hey Muco,

Nice work! The game idea is an interesting one, and despite what you've said, I think your graphics are pretty good! Perhaps they could use a little more polish to finish them, but they're certainly off to a good start!

Good luck with the rest of the project. I look forward to seeing its progression.

Edit: Could be worth adding a short tutorial at the start, just to let the player know how things work and what power-ups are available etc. Also you could add a leaderboard at the end. It's nice for player to see how well they've done, and it encourage users to keep playing (gotta beat that top score)!

  • Hi ddabrahim,

You won't be able to add the 'On collision with' & 'On key pressed' conditions into the same event. This is because they are both trigger events (learn about events here).

Each will only fire on the appropriate trigger, and two triggers can never fire simultaneously. However, you could try changing your 'On collision' trigger, to 'Is overlapping' instead!

    Hope that helps.

  • Nice example blackhornet, it works well.

I haven't used the Timer behaviour yet, so I didn't think to try it!

    Thanks for the help :)
