  • OK great thanks tarek2. Still getting used to c3. Think I put them on same layer in c2 as was restricted to number of layers. Thanks again 😀

    No problem mate

If you ever need it to work with one layer only you can just change the Z-order, one way to this is by Right click on the TileMaps it will open a window go to Z-Order then choose "send to the bottom of the Layer" so the next time you try to select a Tilemap the one that was on the bottom it will be now on the Top so it can be selected

    have fun

  • Hi kossglobal,

I've created a c3p that replicates the issue on onedrive.

    https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuK9l4B5C4bGiWVAZy27lOm5fI0o

As you can see I've created 2 tilemaps that use 64x64 tiles.

I added some of tilemap 1 to layout first.

I then added some of tilemap 2 to layout.

Went back and added another tile from tilemap 1 ok.

Now I can't add anymore of tilemap 2 or delete any of it.

    Thanks

The problem is because you added the two TileMaps on the same Layer so when you click on them only the top TileMap object is selected. to avoid this and to make the life easier put each TileMap on their own Layer and Lock them. So whenever you need to work on any of the TileMaps Example:

You need to work on TileMap1 then Unlock the layer where is TileMap1 located and Loock the Layer where TileMap2 is located so they don't interfere between them this way when you select a tilemap it will select the Right one

  • Thanks tarek2, just one last question, how do I actually install the (https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/addons/120/lite) LiteTween plugin? I can't just drag and drop the new plugin onto the c3 layout... How does it work?

    Your welcome mate

That Plugin is a third party-Plugin and has a Red download button so you will have to download it and install it through the addon manager on c3

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/cy2royy6fmte10l/Addon2.png?dl=0

But if you are trying to install it on the c2 project you cant because first, you need to open your c2 project on c3 then only then you can install any plugin to that project

The only option you have is to delete your lite LiteTween plugin from your c2 project then open it up on c3 and install the official "Tween" plugin or any other plugin then recreate your events that were lost when you deleted the LiteTween plugin from the c2 project

P.S. Have you been having issue with the Mobile Advert plugin lately, or is everything running smooth? (Is there anything I should know before I start?)

I'm afraid I cannot help you with that as my c3 license run out many months ago and I didn't renew it yet so I didn't get to try the Mobile Ad Plugin, I was just using the c3 to test exporters and different staff

But as you can see there is no one complaining so I guess its working other ways you would see many threads complaining I guess

I'm using a few plugins right now (LiteTween, Audio, Browser, List, Button, Textbox, Touch, and Usermedia). If I delete them, can I re-install them all in c3?

    If so, how?

Sorry I think I didn't explain it properly when I say Plugin I meant third-party Plugins, I believe that (Audio, Browser, List, Button, Textbox, Touch, and Usermedia) are official Plugins, it shouldn't be any problem with them

But "LiteTween" is a third-party plugin so you will have to install a different version for c3, but you are lucky they just release an official "tween" plugin as you can see on the Last c3 beta r123 which is the same thing

    https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/releases/beta/r123

Now I don't know if that new C3 plugging it will recognise the c2 "LiteTween" that you will have to try it and see, the best and fastest way to know is just try to open your c2 project on c3 and see what messages they show you if there is any Plugin incompatible it will show you a message saying so and it will show you which one is the one causing the problem

  • Okay, tarek2 , so then is it possible it upload my entire c2 project into c3? If so, how?

Have you tried already? which problem did you have?

Any c2 Project can Be opened normal in c3 as long you don't have any Plugins that are not yet ported to the c3, in that case, it will not let you open it until you install it

Just open the project normal from c3, you don't need any special instructions

select "file" option then choose you c2 capx wherever you saved it and its done then how to export it that is a different story

But if you have a c2 Project that has Plugins that are not already ported to c3 you can export it directly with the C3 Exporter Build Service here is a tutorial

  • Edited: some other pal told me about distancr parameters, which (fool of me for thinking IT people wouldn't have alrrady thought about it) allows to type coordinates for both objetcs, so problem solved. No need for trigonometry. Just a lot more forum/tutorial reading.

Cool mate, Yeah I thought you already knew that staf for the type of Calculation that you wrote on your Last comment and that you were trying to do something more Advance :) lol

Yeah Tutorials is the best you can do it will help you a lot

Also get familiar with all the "System Expressions" it will simplify your life a lot and let you do more Advance staff, Here is the Link:

    https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/system-reference/system-expressions

Also this is a must read: HOW EVENTS WORK >>>>

Already voted!!! I love this thing of suggesting new features. I'll take a look to see which interesting ideas are around.

Nice one, Thank you Mate :) We have to do more Promotion to see if we can get more votes On MoveTo jeje

Have fun and Good luck mate

  • Ashley , I have a c3 license.... but I can't download the plugin!? Why is the download button for the Mobile Advert plugin not even showing up (it's there, but it's invisible and I can't click on it):(?

Why can't I download the plugin?

guannstar It says at the Beginning on the description I will quote:

THIS IS AN OFFICIAL BUILT-IN ADDON

This means that it is not downloadable via these pages as it's already included within Construct 3 itself.

    https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/addons/8/mobile-advert

So you need to do this steps from inside of your C3 Project

    1-On "Project">>> Left Properties Panel

    -Right click on Object Types

-A Window will open then select from that window "Ad New Object Type"

    See the Picture:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/4rxhfv55i5edya9/c3%20Mobile%20Advert%20plugin1.png?dl=0

2-It will open Up another New Window scroll Down to "Monetisation" Section

-Then select from there the "Mobile Advert" plugin

    >>>See the Picture:

  • Awesome Mate Kudos for you! That's very Kind of you, he really deserves it

We should all follow your initiative

  • You're right. I thought stable R120 had already C3 as default runtime. Turns out I was wrong. Bye to every Rex plugin... I'm going to miss MoveTo.

    santiagoestrade

There is a request for "MoveTo" to include it as official behaviour on this Link you can Vote if you like to have "MoveTo" as an official and stand-alone behaviour

    https://construct3.ideas.aha.io/ideas/C3-I-574

And also here there is a Ported "MoveTo" to the C3 Run Time by if you like to keep playing with it while we see if Scirra adds the Behaviour as official
