How do I get c2 project to build correcltly with c3?

  • That looks like the old ad plugin that's deprecated and no longer supported. Replace it with the new Mobile Advert plugin.

    THIS IS AN OFFICIAL BUILT-IN ADDON

    This means that it is not downloadable via these pages as it's already included within Construct 3 itself.

    So you need to do this steps from inside of your C3 Project

    1-On "Project">>> Left Properties Panel

    -Right click on Object Types

    -A Window will open then select from that window "Ad New Object Type"

    2-It will open Up another New Window scroll Down to "Monetisation" Section

    -Then select from there the "Mobile Advert" plugin

    Have you tried already? which problem did you have?

    Any c2 Project can Be opened normal in c3 as long you don't have any Plugins that are not yet ported to the c3, in that case, it will not let you open it until you install it

    Just open the project normal from c3, you don't need any special instructions

    select "file" option then choose you c2 capx wherever you saved it and its done then how to export it that is a different story

    But if you have a c2 Project that has Plugins that are not already ported to c3 you can export it directly with the C3 Exporter Build Service here is a tutorial

    Sorry I think I didn't explain it properly when I say Plugin I meant third-party Plugins, I believe that (Audio, Browser, List, Button, Textbox, Touch, and Usermedia) are official Plugins, it shouldn't be any problem with them

    But "LiteTween" is a third-party plugin so you will have to install a different version for c3, but you are lucky they just release an official "tween" plugin as you can see on the Last c3 beta r123 which is the same thing

    Now I don't know if that new C3 plugging it will recognise the c2 "LiteTween" that you will have to try it and see, the best and fastest way to know is just try to open your c2 project on c3 and see what messages they show you if there is any Plugin incompatible it will show you a message saying so and it will show you which one is the one causing the problem

  • You're right. I just tried to upload it, and c3 accepted all plugins, except for the LiteTween plugin.

    P.S. Have you been having issue with the Mobile Advert plugin lately, or is everything running smooth? (Is there anything I should know before I start?)

    That Plugin is a third party-Plugin and has a Red download button so you will have to download it and install it through the addon manager on c3

    But if you are trying to install it on the c2 project you cant because first, you need to open your c2 project on c3 then only then you can install any plugin to that project

    The only option you have is to delete your lite LiteTween plugin from your c2 project then open it up on c3 and install the official "Tween" plugin or any other plugin then recreate your events that were lost when you deleted the LiteTween plugin from the c2 project

    I'm afraid I cannot help you with that as my c3 license run out many months ago and I didn't renew it yet so I didn't get to try the Mobile Ad Plugin, I was just using the c3 to test exporters and different staff

    But as you can see there is no one complaining so I guess its working other ways you would see many threads complaining I guess
