  • Fantastic art! I envy you man! <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Thanks inkBOT, i checked it out and i find it very informative. Any other tips guys? Best practices?

  • Hello fellow Construct2-cons,

I need your good advice on how to create a good game visuals. I can draw but not as good as most of you graphic artists. I would like to start my project using simple pixel art techniques because i find it much easier at least to animate things that way but i was just kind of wondering how on earth do you animate eye popping visuals just like in the arcade game "tiny prince"?. Right now, I don't have the luxury of purchasing high end apps like photoshop and the likes. I'm just using opensourced apps like asesprite 9.1 mostly for objects creation and simple animations. I know there's a lot of free resources on the net but of course i would also like to learn to do this on my own. Any tips, advice, recommendations will do. Thanks in advance.   <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Yeah, the demo's short but very promising. Mivo, i was using Chrome and i couldn't hear the sound either, then i tried it using Firefox 11, same result. I guess the sound is temporarily not available for this game huh!?

  • I could not play it at the office yesterday due to some policy restrictions, just tried it this morning and it was lovely. I'm pretty sure there's more to HTML5 than meets the eye.

  • God dammit! Thank you very much for sharing this!!! Got it all downloaded, can't say I'm into 3d stuffs [I'm a freakin noob when it comes to 3d arts] but having these software for free is really awesome!

  • I checked it out and looks like C2's twin alright, haven't tested it though and i don't want to. I believed we'll be seeing a lot of these because of the HTML5 technology. Before C2, i tried using GM8.1 and a bunch of others for a while, but for some reason i kept looking for that certain "umph" in terms of ease of use, diversity and of course the helpful community that led me to choose C2, and the fact that it keeps on getting better so hoorah for C2.

  • This is neat. I'm done with this and I'm so desperately hoping to bag that free license, so please give the man some love will yah!

  • ^Ooh i see haha, thanks for the info. It's just that I've never heard or seen a Pachinko. And the name itself is kinda funny... makes me think of something else. <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I stumbled across a random video game title generator a while back, bookmarked it for use later. Not a bad tool if you're looking for some random inspiration <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I like this. Although just a game title generator, but if you try to focus and imagine things on how you would be able to satisfy the title itself... it can really get you going.

"No One Can Stop the Pachinko of Doom" ~ Now what the hell is a Pachinko of Doom exactly? See, it's already starting to get a hold of me...

  • For me, graphics and game-play are both important elements of a video game, it all comes down to making sure that all these elements come together well. At the hands of a good game developer, even if its a limited technology, he would still be able to come up with something better. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I've been searching for materials on how to learn making quality sprites to start my project, and i couldn't even start because i don't know a thing about sprite creation but your guides will definitely help me out on my way to becoming an indie game developer.
