• GeometriX - thanks for the info that's useful to know. Yikes though 200USD is a bit steep for an indie for the time being

Po10c - Well done mate! Best of luck for the compo

  • Hi Po10c, recently there has been a change to 4 countries which require an Age Rating Certification to be able to deploy there which unfortunately includes SA. Due to the short time lines I decided just to untick those 4 countries.

Has anyone explored getting the certs? Is it it hard?

  • Just went through the tutorial - this is an incredibly powerful tool when used in conjunction with C2! Bought the pro license with no hesitation The only thing is, I'm not an artist so I'll probably have to buy sprite packs with body components or something...

  • Woohoo! Good work mate!

So it was to do with the snap/pause thing - glad it worked out

  • That's a bummer dude - I really wish they'd be more specific about the defects. Saying you have a performance issue really isn't explaining anything, which makes debugging almost impossible. Did they say what areas were slow, and quantify what 'slow' means? Low fps, cpu usage etc, and under what sort of hardware?

Also I do remember reading somewhere that it's recommended that we run the WACK on old PCs as well, as it may fail there due to lower specs.

Anyway, don't give up hope just yet, give it a good try - if you fix it in today or tomorrow and then submit it, sometimes they can turn it around really quickly on the same day. That's what happened for my 3rd submission.

  • CoffeeOD - no that statement wasn't specifically aimed at you, it was a general observation. It's just a bit of a pet peeve of mine that some people don't bother to take responsibility for themselves.

  • CoffeeOD - I think as a whole this topic has been blown out of proportion. Firstly, before you commit to any product/service etc.. you need to do your own due diligence. There are far worse advertising schemes out there that are clear breaches of the Fair Trading Act (or whatever the equivalent is in your country). C2 in my opinion is not remotely approaching anything like that.

Secondly, for a full license it's 79 Euros (I think). That's hardly going to break the bank, and even then you can download the free edition to play around with the exporters, and do an evaluation for yourself. That's what I did before purchasing my full license.

  • Try Construct 3

  • kenli - to customize the message that show up for the snapped view - look at the contents of index.html. There is a section that says something like "please expand to full view to continue playing" or something similar, with a placeholder graphic that you can replace.

I don't know about conflicts with the Win8 and Metro plugin as I still use 108.2, which is the most recent stable release. I haven't had any issues with using both plugins.

  • kenli - take a look at the Metro plugin from iunkn. It takes care of snapped view for you:

  • Hmm, I actually thought he had a valid discussion until that little barely-provoked rant at the end, flaming all of us, and then his credibility suddenly and completely evaporated. I wouldn't worry too much about it guys, if anyone is serious about investing time into C2, I'm sure they would dig just a little further and see that 3rd party services are used - no one is hiding anything here.

  • Animate - thanks! The first submission took about 3-4 days I think, then the 2nd submission took 4 or so days, and submission 3 happened on the same day.

Normally they are pretty quick - around 3-5 days if nothing goes wrong.
