  • Great game! The graphics are brilliant although I can see some major similarities to the flappy bird UI. The ad usage is not overdone which is good and should not put people off playing it.

One problem which could be fixed is the file size. The download was not too big at around 20mb however after installing, it was near 70mb. I would recommend using cocoon.io's Cavas+ webview as it greatly reduces the file size. Most of my apps had a download size of around 30mb when using things such as PhoneGap and Intel XDK but after switching to Cocoon.io my file size stays under 8mb and around 20mb after install.

Apart from that, it's a great game and good luck.

    About

The point of the game is to get through as many of the checkpoints as possible in the time limit you have. It requires you to put your ship in an orbit that will hit as many as possible or just fight against the gravity of Earth to reach further away checkpoints.

    Google Play Games Leaderboards

I have also added a leaderboard to the app which allows you to submit and compare your score with others around the world.

If you try the game, please provide feedback as a reply to this post. Any feedback is appreciated and will help a lot. Thanks.

  • Your store page URL will always be "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=" followed by your app id. For example one of my apps has the ID "cats.dev1308.tanks" and therefore has the URL "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cats.dev1308.tanks"

If you need to have the store page set up you can try setting up a closed alpha or beta.

  • I have never needed to use them myself so I don't know how they are used but for most cases you should not need to go over this amount anyway, my most complex project I have ever made has only been 8mb when turned into an apk through Cocoon IO.

  • The maximum for a single apk is 100mb however Google Play offer an option to use expansion files to use more than the 100mb limit

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Cocoon Ads is a plugin which can be downloaded from here:

    github.com/CocoonIO/cocoon-plugins-c2

Cocoon JS is outdated and you should now use Cocoon IO which uses Cordova export, Cocoon IO is much faster and just better to use for games in my opinion.

  • I have switched to cocoon canvas+ and the issue has resolved itself. I think it has something to do with the way that the google algorithm for delta updates detects changes with my apps when they are compiled with Intel XDK.

  • Use the cordova export and use cocoon io instead.

  • Thank you for replying. I am aware that the wrapper adds to the file size but why are the new and old apk files combining instead of replacing? How would I do this extension thing?

  • I am working on an app which I am testing as a closed alpha on Google Play however when I update the app to fix bugs or add features it requires the user to download the whole app file size again. Not only that but the file sizes seem to stack up, my app started at 24mb and after only 2 small updates its now passing 70mb!!!

When looking into this problem I read that Google uses delta updates to just replace the files that have changed but my app does not appear to be doing this.

Update: I spoke to Google dev support and they were useless, they said the question was "out of our scope" and that they were not trained for helping with development issues, however I see this issue as something that is out of my control but I hope i'm wrong because Google wont help.

    Any help is appreciated.
