  • just tested, landscape orientation locking works really well with the latest version of the xdk.

  • I exported my game using the XDK and got things running fine the first time round. my game runs perfectly without any big issues

    so make sure you design your game for mobile, keeping in mind the limits of mobile cpus and ram

    I have used the newest XDK beta. I have an issue with the large number of splash and icon files that are generated in the apk (in RES directory) and most of them we have no way to change in XDK, so we end up with a lot of green snail icons and "cube" splash screens.

    Also the splash screens & icons I can change in XDK need to be saved in the www directory, so these are included 2 times in the apk! On top of that C2 is also creating icons of different sizes on its own, and these too are being included for nothing!

    I think we need to have BETTER control & management over the splash screens and icons, and have the option to be able to change all of them in the options screen.

  • Nodewebkit seems to work great as an exporter without any noticeable problems. Or am I wrong?

    With ios8 & Android L, phonegap should solve all export problems on these 2 platforms.

    As far as I know the WiiU export works quite well too

  • if XDK would generate the keyfile and you can download that it would be no problem. However what would happen if you wanted to redo the app in another sdk. without keyfile you can't update

  • is it possible that no one came up with a tool to do this signing & aligning automatically without having to type all the command lines?

  • and how do you sign an apk yourself? is there a simple tool to do this or you have to type line commands ?

  • Let's say I want to use a custom TTF font in my game, which is installed on my PC.

    If I run the game on iPAD, will this be exported with the HTML code, and show right on the iPad, or will it show in Topaz font?

    Or do i need to use a sprite font to have custom fonts?
